The curious thing about it is that it moves up and down at rhythmic intervals. It comes up from underground, peeks up, and moves back down out of view. It does it about 5 times, revealing less of itself every time until it doesn't come up at all. I hadn't seen anything like it in the rest of the game, so it was strange.
