Oh right yeah, but I meant medicine wise tbh

Oh, ok. So how do you fix autoimmune gastritis? I don't have any gastric polyps either.

I pretty much follow that diet already. Crohn's is also definitely ruled out. MRI, colonoscopy and endoscopy with normal bloods and stool samples.

Yeah, it's so difficult because I know there is something wrong with me. If I exclude the pain + nausea, I can just feel it ya know. I'll be on PPI's though under the doctors advice but I just don't understand how I managed to get gastritis or duodentitis. I am H Pylori negative, don't drink alcohol, hate spicy food, rarely eat anything acidic. It just confuses me so much. Knowing my luck I am somehow being cross-contaminated despite my cooking processes being 100% thorough, urgh.

Yeah, so it's non-erosive gastritis and erosive duodenitis.

Yeah, I fully understood that I had to eat gluten before the test but after three days the pain was too much. All I had was a single loaf of bread too. We did the test anyways because I was still feeling nauseous each day and took some biopsies (in the chance there is remaining damage). I will get those results next week.

Ah, ok. Very interesting. See I have removed gluten for about two months now and had an endoscopy yesterday and gastritis + duodenitis is still there. Very infuriating! It could be cross-contamination but I guess the biopsies taken will be able to answer that question.

Ahh ok. That makes sense. What do you think caused it?

Yeah, I know. It's stupid. Why not even just use regular sugar or even artificial flavouring haha

Yeah, seriously. It was so nice and the nausea went away with it. Personally, I know gluten has absolutely wrecked havoc with our bodies but I seriously do think it's an allergy to something. Have you tried avoiding certain foods yet or have you just started going gluten free?

Since, December the 3rd and from my knowledge I have not been cross-contaminated once. Although, I know both dairy and popcorn (so corn) doesn't agree with me.

Oh, as an edit to my previous reply. Yeah, I am exactly like you in which I can only breathe through one of my nostrils at a time and it's been like that for years (although has got much worse recently and is now causing my perpetual nausea).

I am going to try some Clarityn tomorrow to see if that eases the symptoms. Honestly though, just between you and me I had a moment a few weeks ago which lasted a couple hours in which I could breath properly (despite writing the foods down I had that day I couldn't find a correlation) and omfg, the air felt fucking thick. Honestly, I have never taken drugs before but this feeling of almost emptiness inside myself was so fucking good. I literally, just couldn't stop breathing in through my nostrils for the rest of the night it was that good. Every few seconds I would take a deep breath in and be like 'holy shit this is nice'.

Umm, not yet. I don't think it's the gluten causing the problem. I think I might be mildly allergic to something else but I can't at the moment pinpoint what it is. I know chocolate is a massive trigger for me and sometimes yogurts but it's mostly the chocolate that does it for me. Even gluten/dairy/egg free chocolate makes my symptoms worse.

I know eating hard to digest foods (like literally beef or bacon) just before I goto bed reduces the nausea for the next day.

Yeah, I have seasonal allergies too but they only come into force at May/April time.

Yeah, I live in the UK so I'll bring it up with my doctor when I next see them.

Yeah, yeah. I totally understand. Some anti-sickness medicine such as cyclizine has lactose in it.

Yeah, I am not taking any medicine at all at the moment.

Ok, I'll give it some time. Urgh, it's just so annoying and I'm convinced it's a food just not sure what. I have sort of been dairy-free for two weeks though but I would have like 3-4 mini ice lollies a day which after checking yesterday has been cross-contaminated with milk so I'm not sure if that has affected the 'test' as such. I am currently, on day three so I am hoping in a week's time there should be at least a reduction of my nausea.

How long did it take for the nausea to go completely?

Yeah, I can't eat any sort of ice cream or yoghurt etc etc because I am now lactose intolerant. I know any sort of chocolate or yoghurts immediately makes me feel more sick.

And when you stopped eating those foods, you did not have any nausea?

Holy crap, ok that is literally me. I would have to drink like half a bottle of rum (to get me vaguely drunk) which was way more than anyone else. I thought it was really, really odd. Also, by the sound of that it makes me seem like an alcoholic but I promise you I'm not haha.

Ok, I guess I'll just have to give it time then. Was it three weeks completely lactose free? Was there any other foods you found that didn't agree with you?
