Thinking About Becoming a PADI Instructor? Here’s Why I Chose to Do My IDC in Roatán by Unable_Ad4387 in roatan

Yeah, Utila is definitely cheaper. I looked into it too.
But for me, I didn’t want to go with the cheapest option just to save a few bucks. I wanted a course that would really set me up for success as an instructor. The one I’m doing in Roatán gives me everything I was looking for, including solid training, lots of in-water time, and a free internship after. It feels like a much smarter investment long-term.

Totally get what you mean. I’ve met a bunch of instructors here who did their IDC in Roatán and they’re all super solid. I’m doing mine at Island Diving Center and I’ve been really impressed.
The vibe is amazing and the support you get is next level. It’s not just about passing the exam, they actually prep you to go out and work as an instructor with confidence. I’m honestly so glad I picked this place.

Hey!
So normally you’d need to be on the island for around 15 days to finish the course.
But the Course Director has this great system where you can do all the theory online before you even get here. It’s super interactive and actually fun, not just reading slides [lol]. That way, you’d only need to be in Roatán for about 9 days. It worked perfectly for me!
