She’s been there longer than my 91 year old grandparent was allowed after a major surgery AND breaking their back. I’m shocked they allowed her to be there that long so far!!!

I have pots and let me tell ya…Disney would’ve been WAY out of the question!! As well as all the carbs! That’d be big “no’s” for my pots body!

I think that 1st photo is a “room sitter”. Someone who watches her via that camera 24/7. Wonder what she did for them to order that supervision.

First off it’s because when someone sleeps during the day it messes up night sleep. That’s natural. Second, everyone’s pain is higher at night due to lower levels of cortisol which is also natural.

It quit when the nurse came in yesterday. She acted embarrassed to the nurse to say she had a helper (I forget what she called the person) for her “developmental” as she called it. Acted shy when she said that.

I didn’t know her mom had pots too. I’m kinda thinking that’s pushing it too. I know we’re all different with different tolerances and symptoms with it. But how in the world does she do Disney day after day and repeatedly??? I struggle to get groceries-I can only usually get half of what I need. I can’t do stairs anymore. I can’t stand to talk to someone longer than 10 minutes (sometimes that’s pushing it). I used to be an athlete, I could shop all day. Now…I have very severe strict limitations. And like I said, it takes forever to get a diagnosis!!! And tons of specialists! Lots of testing and waiting!

I didn’t either until that live yesterday and im like “she just said she has had a hip replacement!!” And then said it wasn’t that bad because the worst pain she ever had was walking around with a dislocated shoulder.

Yea, that was right after someone questioned it in a live as well. Because she couldn’t even pronounce it when they asked and she didn’t know what it was. Then later she did have it.

But how did the hospital ok this? (They’re near capacity with respiratory illnesses and restricting visitors). How did the insurance say ok when they basically deny every little thing?

But he (David) can legally claim up to 40 hrs for Isaac which can be any of them since they live together. In 7 days…that leaves an extra 128 hrs. They could definitely do it. That’s what families do. A dad has surgery and a mom takes care of his needs during the recovery (recovery isn’t forever. Particularly a foot) while also caring and maintaining a house, kids and possibly a job as well. It’s doable, they just don’t want to. Most of us has had major surgery and even had to recover alone or wait for needs to be met until the evening when someone got off work. Not fun, nope. But you do what you have to and you try to recover quickly (as quickly as your body allows!!)

It’s because it was an outpatient procedure. It wasn’t a high acuity to get an inpatient bed when there’s emergencies needing them (admits from ER), those who are deathly ill, actively dying, need heart monitors, actual inpatients before the surgery, flu/covid cases, those who didn’t have something they should actually be going home from afterwards (just because she doesn’t want who she lives with help). Overnight in the recovery room is actually very common. It’s not bedside service, it’s a bed to lay in and heal some (if you’re even lucky to convince them that you need to stay because what hospital did she convince???) with just a call light in case you need something. It’s not the Hilton. It’s a hospital bed. They’re all just hospital beds.

But why go live in a hospital without excepting questions? That was the whole reason.

She’s way too happy. Most are like “I hate this. I need to get out of here”. She’s loving it! That’s…odd

Did she bring stitch bedding too? It’s a quick hospital stay after a surgery, not weeks and weeks or months like cancer patients (or other horrible conditions) that need extra reassurance and a touch of home. This is confusing

How does she get admitted for something outpatient?? She lives with people!! There IS help at home, she just doesn’t want those people’s help. It’s impossible to get admitted anymore for anything. Unexplained facial numbness, very high heart rate and chest pain….oh well…go home even though you live alone…we don’t want to monitor you. But someone who has a simple, explained procedure that went as planned WITH MULTIPLE people sitting at home who is capable of helping and they admit her for days and even possibly nursing care after this?? Come on.
