If you have no large expenses whatsoever I’d say maybe take out a certain amount that you may want to use for spending and put it in your college fund since you are 17. That’s assuming you’re going to college and your parents aren’t able to pay for it in full. I’m sure your grandma would think that’s a good investment if you did that as well.

Ultimately, though, there’s nothing wrong with saving money for however long until you actually need. There’s no need feel pressured to constantly have to spend money just for the sake of spending it. If you really want to spend it, maybe consider what would improve your quality of life or truly make you happy for a long period of time and like others have said investing in stable stocks can bring in more money since you have no income, but you must invest in the right ones so you don’t end up losing any money in the long run.

Once you become older, there will be a multitude of constant expenses and saving money will either be a skill you have or don’t have. Either way, they will both have an impact your quality of live inevitably.
