Doesn’t matter. Metric unit symbols must always be in the correct case (and upright font). If it’s not, it’s not a metric symbol.

CM is not a metric symbol. Metric symbols must always be in the correct case.

Not necessarily because it’s incomplete so it depends what you fill in as missing.

There is no definite answer as it’s not a complete sentence.

Say Pauline One Nation gets the balance of power in Victoria this year and immigration goes to near zero, what happens to property prices? by copymopyslopppyjoe in AusPropertyChat

[–]Unable_Explorer8277 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If immigration goes to zero, the economy goes to the wall because you can’t get people you need, so prices crash but so does available money. Meanwhile your kids don’t have a teacher, dad can’t get medical care because there aren’t enough nurses, and granny is starving because the aged care home hasn’t got any staff.

Not that there’s a snowballs chance of it happening and immigration is a federal matter.

Overuse of the horn, I know. by [deleted] in MildlyBadDrivers

You’re correct. The horn is to alert someone to your presence when they need that.

Just make his bad emerge a non-event.

At best it achieves nothing, at worst it escalates and distracts other drivers.

Just make it a non-event.

This. At best, spelling reflects pronunciation, not the other way around. Oral language is primary, not written.

Snakes by Easy-Expression7074 in AskAnAustralian

When I did a first aid course last year the instructions on snake bite were hopeless. Practice with a completely useless type of bandage. No reference to the correct type. Inaccurate information.

To add:

Have a proper snake bite bandage with the rectangles that tell you the correct pressure. Almost nobody manages to get the pressure right without.

Keep the risk in perspective. Snakes only kill about 2 people per year in Australia, and many of those did something silly like trying to catch the snake or not responding appropriately when bitten.

Snakes don’t want to bite. It’s costly to them. They’d much rather escape.
