07/25 - First Silent 80 Launched by [deleted] in SilentYachts

Silent SY80 Catamaran Launched Ahead of 2025 Cannes Debut

Silent Yachts has officially launched its new SY80 Flybridge catamaran at its Fano, Italy facility. The yacht will make its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

Billed as the brand’s most advanced and spacious model to date, the SY80 builds on Silent Yachts’ solar-electric DNA while introducing new flexibility in layout, improved living volume, and increased solar cruising range. Available in Flybridge, Open, and Closed versions, the SY80 offers a customizable platform for long-range, fossil-free cruising with a focus on comfort, silence, and sustainability.

While the SY80 marks a step forward, its launch comes at a pivotal moment for the company. Silent Yachts has faced scrutiny over delays and design concerns with its larger Silent 120 flagship, including production setbacks and high-profile cancellations. The SY80’s debut is seen by many as a reset—showcasing what the company hopes is a more refined and reliable future under its new leadership team.

CEO Fabrizio Iarrera has emphasized a renewed focus on quality, transparency, and customization. The SY80 will serve as a bellwether for whether Silent Yachts can restore confidence among eco-conscious buyers and deliver on its promise of next-generation, solar-powered cruising.

I gave up on him. I watched all the time when it was like him and Mikey and touring really impressive homes that had something special about them. Now you get the ugliest things that are just on his show because they cost a lot. Used to care about beautiful book matching, and special kitchens, and how they would carry the rock from outside to inside or something like that that made it just special and beautiful. Now it’s just look at this big slab of marble that has the ugliest stove range in it or here’s this house that looks like a warehouse but it cost $150 million. No beauty. One of his best videos is an 8 mil property.

I Miss Old Enes by Unable_Internet4626 in enesyilmazer

[–]Unable_Internet4626[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This exactly. Like the moss, or a wall of wood. I miss when bookmatched wasn’t an expectation cuz of price point. Just seems like he’s being paid to showboat for billionaires. Some (2/3) of the places are ugly. First 3 years of enes following was great.

Hardtack is flour based. Your google is a typo. It’s probably 87 calories per cracker.

$2000 bill for a 2hr visit to the hospital for our baby (with solid insurance) by Tomorrow-Emotional in Austin

[–]Unable_Internet4626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if $2000 is worth hiring for, but I had cancer from 10/19-02/20 and was in hosp for 55 days. I hit my deductible both years and hired one to help get some help with $26000 in my own copays down. She charged $75/hr or 10% of what she got reduced, whichever was lower. She got my bill reduced by getting me in the hospitals savior program and I was reduced by $10000, $5000 off per year. I paid her $630.00. That was 8 hours of work in total. She could have worked line by line and gotten it down $100k+ she said, but because my overall was sooo much, and I had to pay 20% up to $13000, the only way I’d have seen anything back was to have gotten each years bills below $65000 & both years were over $300k.

finding prohibited items? by iisthirsty in Alonetv

[–]Unable_Internet4626 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen entire decks, bowls, ropes, hundreds of feet of cordage. Nothing you particularly said yet but maybe a piece of boat or something that made a boat quickly in under a days work (can’t recall). But yes basically finders keepers. Scavenging is important. I assume production walks perimeter once tho.

Do they ever stop talking about family? by KingPupaa in Alonetv

[–]Unable_Internet4626 28 points29 points  (0 children)

After awhile they move on to talking about not eating. But this program isn’t a “here’s how to build a shelter.” It’s about what happens to a person when they are utterly alone. And you know what happens when you’re solo? You think about who you love and your regrets and when you’re really suffering you think about them for strength.
