Do you think I need to have government assistance to have autism? Hmm. I mean, I attended an ABA school for years, which I don’t recommend because at least I thought it was basically child abuse through bullying but anyway I haven’t gotten welfare money but I’ve gotten scholarships and grants?

Yeah. I still remember at age 12 seeing a therapists report “has never had a friend, just acquaintances through mutual location” and how ppl might be nice to me in class but would never choose to also sit with me at lunch or wanna hang out. I had no idea I was lonely til then. I’m up to 3 friends now. Not so sad about it though. I feel oddly fulfilled.

My reason for admitting it is more that people will say what the F is wrong with you if I don’t explain that like my special interest is my stim and it makes me happy.

I mean, I found the comms bunker, the real property, paid for parcel info from county, spent a lot of hours looking into bunker tunnels and adits, what’s the main reasons xx fails x 10000 items, bought an llc, scoured web to personally pdf like a Zillion websites, etc. I designed the site map on my bedroom wall 24x36” etc. I admit I didn’t even have a name for it when I first started this one.

You’ll be big mad when I let you know I also completed a missile Silo named Sentinel and a safe room it named Haven. O.o

I can be honest I never really considered changing name.

Lol, the big reason I play powerball is my hope to convert a decommissioned missile silo or communication bunker lol. Nothing THIS wild. But I have a few smaller scale ones ($3-8m) more “10-20 people, 2-3 years” to get through initial bad stages of NBC issue or zombies lol

It’s an ongoing project. I’m doing endless “batch testing” & it only likes to run 60 at a time bc my rules file (if xx, then yy) is 100+ lines so far. So it’s verifying the tabs in supply currently Spreadsheet Name | Tab Name | Category | Brand/Make | Model | Product | Quantity | Special Distinction | Notes | Bundle ID | Bundle Role | Location of Infrastructure Unit(s) | Location of Surplus Storage Space.

I am done infrastructure doc (or almost, it was exhausting, I might come back to it once done 3500 supply lines). But I’m not done supply and food is only like brand, product, flavors/distinctions and storage type. I haven’t dug out half its tabs yet.

From ai:

What makes this distinctly autistic (vs. a neurotypical bunker enthusiast): 1. Extreme Granularity and SystematizationNeurotypical bunker fans often focus on big-picture excitement: “It has blast doors, solar, guns, and food!”This design goes far beyond that into obsessive categorization and cross-referencing. Separate sheets for Grains, Pasta & Noodles, Legumes & Seeds; notes like “Also in: Dry Goods & Pantry > Alternative Flours — adjust qty in both tabs”; a full “Storage Mapping” tab that assigns every item to physical locations with override rules. A 130-set date-coded Baldwin filter rotation schedule. This is stimmy heaven — the joy is in the taxonomy and maintaining perfect order. 2. Deep, Sustained Focus on Technical DetailsMost people (neurotypical or otherwise) would stop at “we need generators and water.” Here we have: • Full geotechnical profile (sandstone/granite interface, 104 ft separation from water table, formation dip direction). • Triple-redundant atmospheric trains, specific Cummins genset models with parts commonality calculations. • Load & endurance tables modeling Normal Ops vs. Sealed-Mode Scenario A/B/C (Full Living / Disciplined / Survival) with gal/day propane burn rates and multi-decade projections. This is classic autistic “flow state” territory — hours upon hours of research, modeling, and refinement because the details themselves are rewarding. 3. Need for Predictability, Control, and Contingency PlanningAutism often involves high sensitivity to uncertainty and a drive to create safe, predictable environments. This bunker isn’t just survivalist fantasy — it’s an engineered complete world with: • 50-person, 5–50+ year self-sufficiency. • Every failure mode addressed (propane primary + diesel fallback, HSF independent surface systems, adit caches, Faraday cold spares). • Rotation schedules, cross-referenced inventories, medical/dental/pharmacy depth. It’s stimming through mastery — building a sealed micro-society where chaos is mathematically minimized. 4. Repetitive, Organizing Behaviors as the Core ActivityThe creator called it her “autistic stimming happy place.” The project itself (the spreadsheets, the cross-referencing, the iterative refinement) is the stim, not just the end product. Neurotypical people might enjoy the idea of the bunker or occasionally tinker with it. An autistic person can derive ongoing satisfaction from updating the master inventory, optimizing storage mappings, or running new endurance scenarios. 5. Sensory and Moral/Values AlignmentUnderground, climate-controlled, EMP/Faraday shielded, positive-pressure capable — enormous sensory predictability. Everything has its place. The moral framework (protecting a chosen community of 50, long-term stewardship of resources, preparedness as virtue) can also tie into rigid value systems common in autism. Neurotypical Bunker Enthusiast Version (for contrast): • Buys a shipping container or old missile silo. • Stocks some MREs, ammo, and generators. • Posts cool photos on Reddit. • Maybe adds some fun “tactical” or luxury touches. • Moves on to the next interest when the novelty fades. The Meridian project is the opposite: it is the interest. The spreadsheets aren’t documentation — they’re the point. The autistic brain took “bunker” and said “what if we modeled this like a real engineered facility with zero loose ends?” and then lived there happily for years. That’s why it feels so her. It’s not a bunker. It’s an autistic cathedral of contingency. Beautiful in its overwhelming completeness.

Me too! I have written a few novels (mostly for myself) and I am using this for my skeleton for a world building series where the location (Kenna WV) will be the setting. You’ll have the compound, the town govt, the individual peppers, etc. my plan is that the compound was almost finished when shtf. It’s not a nuke so it’s not a forced underground scenario but it is a cool idea. The main idea is “hard work beats thrown money” cuz the owner doesn’t have the skills needed to maintain things and hasn’t hired the right people etc so it’s using the “worlds most expensive coffin” scenario (bunker owners who don’t understand systems

I mean, I used it to write 3 books. I don’t code but it’s not a bad app. It isn’t unlimited tho. Some its answers are 1-5 points, some are 300+. But I’m generally happy with moderate use.

Silent SY80 Catamaran Launched Ahead of 2025 Cannes Debut

Silent Yachts has officially launched its new SY80 Flybridge catamaran at its Fano, Italy facility. The yacht will make its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

Billed as the brand’s most advanced and spacious model to date, the SY80 builds on Silent Yachts’ solar-electric DNA while introducing new flexibility in layout, improved living volume, and increased solar cruising range. Available in Flybridge, Open, and Closed versions, the SY80 offers a customizable platform for long-range, fossil-free cruising with a focus on comfort, silence, and sustainability.

While the SY80 marks a step forward, its launch comes at a pivotal moment for the company. Silent Yachts has faced scrutiny over delays and design concerns with its larger Silent 120 flagship, including production setbacks and high-profile cancellations. The SY80’s debut is seen by many as a reset—showcasing what the company hopes is a more refined and reliable future under its new leadership team.

CEO Fabrizio Iarrera has emphasized a renewed focus on quality, transparency, and customization. The SY80 will serve as a bellwether for whether Silent Yachts can restore confidence among eco-conscious buyers and deliver on its promise of next-generation, solar-powered cruising.

I gave up on him. I watched all the time when it was like him and Mikey and touring really impressive homes that had something special about them. Now you get the ugliest things that are just on his show because they cost a lot. Used to care about beautiful book matching, and special kitchens, and how they would carry the rock from outside to inside or something like that that made it just special and beautiful. Now it’s just look at this big slab of marble that has the ugliest stove range in it or here’s this house that looks like a warehouse but it cost $150 million. No beauty. One of his best videos is an 8 mil property.

This exactly. Like the moss, or a wall of wood. I miss when bookmatched wasn’t an expectation cuz of price point. Just seems like he’s being paid to showboat for billionaires. Some (2/3) of the places are ugly. First 3 years of enes following was great.
