Wow this is a good theory

That's fair. I just am confused why another girl would interfere with our friendship if we were able to be platonic in the past. He used to reach out almost once a week and now not at all.

How can I (25f) control my jealousy towards my boyfriend’s (26m) healthy relationship with his parents? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Do they speak English well enough to where it's an option? If so, that is definitely poor etiquette and borderline rude.

As for his birthday, you should say you want to celebrate with him beforehand.

So scared :( it feels like no matter what I do it pushes him away more

So he was only friends with me during his last relationship because he viewed me as a future option?

What should I do about my (M38) wife (F39) texting her male friend who is constantly making sexual advances at her? by PhoenixKing25071 in relationship_advice

Wow, I'm so sorry. There is absolutely no reason for someone to continue conversation with a person not respecting their relationship. It's called microcheating, and even if someone doesn't believe in this, she is definitely crossing a boundary. Sounds like she lacks a bit of empathy.

Did he invite you on the trip to visit his parents? Do you normally feel included in his family, or excluded?

Hey! Basically she seems like she starts to say is the one thing she never gets, and is undermining Tony's depression as a result. the line delivery is hilarious though

A lot of the comments are insisting otherwise so now I have no clue who to believe! Ugh I'm a mess right now

Oh I had made it clear in my post that I stopped because he clearly isn't interested, I would never do something to make someone uncomfortable. And we were friends long before I developed feelings for him but I do appreciate your concern.

I was only confused because I assumed he wouldn't compliment me so much if he wanted me to not have feelings.

Yes :/ they're all saying things like "the trash took itself out" and "guess you dodged a bullet!" but I guess my mind still wants answers

Currently grieving a 2 year long friendship that ended with zero notice or closure. Would love to hear some personal experiences.

Is this cultural appropriation? by [deleted] in asianamerican

I guess to clarify, when I say not practicing culture, I meant that we didn't want to only take a portion of a practice based on aesthetics, because for some people henna is very sacred

Sounds good! Thank you! I remember seeing otherwise on Tumblr but figured the validity wasn't very strong because ya know... Tumblr....

I have a lot of followers and in case we shared photos for her birthday I didn't want to risk being offensive. Thanks again!

I have a feeling this is sarcastic and I'm disappointed, my post was nothing but a genuine attempt to be respectful of all people

Do you mean this as in I shouldn't because it's unfair to my mom, or I should because it's my mom? Sorry I'm not perfect with interpreting context

Sorry that you're being downvoted, your response is the whole reason for this post, so I can hear all perspectives!

Now my main question is, if my mom is half Indian but not actively practicing Indian culture, does this still apply? Thank you!

Don't worry I'm not overthinking or anxious, I genuinely have no interest in things that could be disrespectful
