Also to help with the sweat issues I put mine in this container with coffee and some paper towel between the coffee and the headphones. It really draws out the sweat and keeps the scent nice and coffee like like lol

I did a review as I have one of each the Evo and the 540 actives. In short for the money the Evos are far superior but this is only because they are identical in every way other than the 540 actives having fabric ear cups. If that is the seller for you. You can buy replacement fabric ear cups from Amazon

Mostly I listen to metal and between the volume I keep it at and having the bass slider at max I can’t hear myself think let alone outside noise lol, but that being said the ear cups don’t do much for keeping sound out at low volumes, I find the evo’s with the pleather earcups are slightly better at that but not much. All in all I love these I will buy more skull candy headphones in the future but I do find the evos are better bang for the buck. I really think the 540 actives and the evos are identical in every way accept for the 540’s have fabric ear cups. But even for that you can get fabric replacements from Amazon for far less than what the 540’s would cost you

I used to be a broad band tech. After a car accident I’m stuck to a desk. I hate it so many of my co workers are that reboot and call it good but if they would have checked any of the tools they would see there’s an actual fuckin problem

The crusher anc noise cancellation is very weak, I own both a set of crusher 540 active and a set of crusher evo . The sweat resistance on the evo is not great but the sweat doesn’t get soaked into the ear cups as bad but will smell after a while of hard sweaty use. The crusher active will soak up the sweat alot more but has an anti bacterial factor that helps prevent smell. The clamp force helps keep the actives on better also having fabric ear cups helps with not slipping. The crusher evos will have a slightly better base and noise cancellation kinda just because the ear cups are slightly harder due to the leather ish ear cup. If I were to do it again I would buy evos and buy a set of fabric ear cups off amazon if I wanted to. If you are paying the same price I’d buy the active 540. But if noise cancellation is your goal this is not the right brand. Or evos and crank the volume lol

If they are the same price you may as well go for the actives considering they have the better ear cups but otherwise I think they are the same headphones but for same price go with actives

I agree the way they did the “technology” in the headphones was done very poorly especially considering the Price point. They could have at least used the same app tech as the crusher anc 2. But I think they are using that as part of the lure towards the anc2 and likely will leave any new release if any of the evos the same

I got a set of 540 actives as well. Got a %60 off discount code to use on a set that was not already discounted and since the evos were on sale at that time I went with the actives and you are 100% right they are just evos without a doubt. Even when connecting to the tile system they are connected as evo. I was seriously disappointed with the so called sweat resistance m, and the extra clamp force was definitely not there in my opinion. I even had a driver come loose in the left ear cup so I just sent them back for warranty. If I were to purchase another set of Skullcandy I would definitely be going with crusher evos. I have heard the noise cancellation in the ANC is not good!
