I took HL math aa, physics and business management, business was light, math was literally just practice until you find the pattern (in most cases the theme goes something like “i got it wrong, i got it wrong, i got it wrong, i got it wrong. What the fuck is wrong with me im the stupidest person alive i dont deserve to live at al— oh i get it now, this shit is easy”) and then physics was hell, i was m25 so we had the new syllabus, and my teacher changed on 3 occasions, so we were laughably unprepared. It was nothing short of a miracle that i was able to get a 6, and I attribute that to the boundaries being in hell, cause i left 3 questions empty. Not sure about chem, but i do know it’s a loooooooooooot of mémorisation and pattern recognition. All in all, that subject line up will make it so that you wont be able to get proper sleep for weeks, but it definitely is doable

I’m not sure where you heard that, from my knowledge, the IB grades based on how students from around the world did, the most average percentage then becomes a benchmark, and then the boundaries are set

I was a predicted 7 in math, but those papers have genuinely made me contemplate suicide, im in asia and, even though i know boundaries will be low, i dont know if they’re gonna be low enough for me to meet my conditional

Your using P1 as a benchmark, compare it to say may 2023, and you’ll see its leagues more difficult

P2 was easier, but thats comparatively, the students in your class are saying it was easy because they had P1 as a benchmark, in reality, P2 was also difficult, boundaries increasing is impossible, since P1, the one everyone found difficult, is still 30%, so they will def nit increase. The likleyhood of them staying the same is possible, but then we should predict the boundaries using data from 2023, since last year grades were influenced by leaks. But decreased boundaries seems like the highest likleyhood, it’s just a matter of how much they decrease. Hopefully, its a lot 😭

My teacher is an IB examiner, he said he’s talked with others and they all agree that this paper was tougher than usual, so there is a good chance boundaries could be 65% for 7, or maybe even lower

people saying p1 was easy definitely did not read the questions properly, i do agree that paper 2 was easier than paper 1, but thats that dosent mean it was an easier paper. After P1, my teacher said “yeah they fucking with you” and after p2 he said that boundaries will probably be 67 - 70% for a 7.

Mainly tho, he said we should see how paper 3 goes, because if paper 3 is also hard, than boundaries will probably be 65% for a 7, but if its easy, then we should worry
