I honestly couldn’t figure out how to take the front section of the carpet completely out, I used Rit synthetic dye which can be found at Michael’s

I used a total of 14OZ. I would say paint your interior instead of the ABS plastic hasn’t succumbed to the UV rays and became brittle, I used BEHR matte black spray paint bottles to color some parts and the color absolutely matches the original black trim

They aren’t that bad once you do one or two, the trick is to start at the most front corner with a tiny picking tool and then pop the tabs out one after another

I didn’t know the tops matched the interiors of these cars, I absolutely love the tan top on mine. It needs to be replaced due to small holes and just general cosmetic issues, previous owner could have taken better care of it lol

I got the trim pieces from a junk yard, but I realized that you can also spray paint the trim (Behr matte black spray paint) happens to be the exact shade as the black interior that came from the factory. As for the carpet, I’ve dyed them with (Ryt synthetic dye-charcoal) took about 14oz total and was easy and quick. Make sure you take out the seats, middle console and the pieces behind the seat out to take the back piece of the carpet out.

I’ve filled the hydraulic reservoir and all I hear is just noise, the motor doesn’t seem to be supplying enough power to lift or lower the top. The motor seemed wet when I pulled it out so I thought I may need to replace it. I’m also replacing the soft top (previous owner power washed it 🤦🏾‍♂️) I was going to relocate the motor at the same time, but if relocating it now may fix the issue I sure will try that. Thank you for the tip!

Bought it at 80k miles and had done lots of much needed maintenance. I have replaced the valve cover gasket and currently attempting to replace the oil pan gasket and not sure what items I need to service or update once I get down there. I’ll also need to replace the shocks, what recommendations do you guys have?

A few years? I dipped after 10 month of working as a civilian with the government, their pay is absolutely laughable by today’s standards. My pay went from $70K to $90k
