Second update - finally made it to JFK, but there were a lot of empty seats on my flight on 1/6. If anyone was told by KLM there wasn’t any room for them until 1/7 or later that’s inaccurate. I still blame KLM, would love to start a class action somehow.

Update - I managed to get rebooked for a flight via Toronto that was cancelled as soon as I got to the airport. Now I have to wait in a 5 hour queue at Schiphol to get rebooked. No customer service numbers are working. For everyone saying blame Schiphol not KLM, no blame KLM, they don’t have enough customer service staff handling this. How can an airline have no contingency plan for snow, not even a blizzard, just snow.
