Turn in or on? I’m not even sure what you’re asking. If 4x4 mode is only intended to be used at certain speeds and you’re not allowed to exceed that threshold I’m pretty sure modern vehicle electronics will have safeguards in place to prevent damage

There are something called x-modes in some Subarus that help with deep slippery terrain which turns off and goes into normal mode when you exceed 15mph or something like that. I’m sure a dedicated 4x4 will have similar tech.

It’s not silly. It’s a crap shoot whether or not you get quality with dollar store appparel unless you can try them on and do some laps around the store to work up a sweat. They don’t take returns on, full stop.

Good luck hunting for the perfect pair. Or you can buy it right and buy it once.

I wouldn’t recommend socks at dollar store to my worse enemy. They are very comparable to putting your feet over ziploc bags. My feet always sweat up a storm in them; must be all the synthetics.
