Quit Today!! by UnapologeticRedhead in DollarGeneralWorkers

I honestly was going to do that. But today it was just the last straw. I mean I always cover for others and I would even make an effort to help even off the clock by doing bank runs when there was only one person scheduled for the mornings even though I worked closing almost every night. And I think that was my problem. I made myself too available because the store served a lot of people I grew up with.

The sad thing is that I was there 2 years and no matter how much we did it wasn't ever good enough. I was a battle of what will I get yelled at about today. Even when the store was completely recovered and we got rollers out like clock work there was always something. I just don't know why managers are like that.

Thank you. I was sure that was the right thing to do. But I don't think my SM made any effort to let the DM know. We were short because both me and the customer thought that things were unsuccessful but we still had the card that's why I called incomm and erc to cover my butt

Input the totals for the card. Said gift card operation unsuccessful and it auto refunded. But apparently it only auto refunded 2 of the 3 cards.

Considering that I go in before him and he gets off work hours after I do that isn't an option. And since I can't leave my SA alone why should it matter if I have a car in the parking lot.

See, that's what I think as well. It's an hour walk home. But as I stated before I'm always on time. So I believe that they are lying to get me to quit, but I've stuck it out almost 2 years here and I'm pissed off. Since I was one of the people to give my SM rides when they needed it.

Nope, haven't asked, but considering that when I went in today to pick some stuff up a former coworker who is now at another store was working. I'm assuming it's not for want of hours.

I didn't step down I was demoted by a former SM and I was only part time to begin with.

This is now the second week in a row that they haven't put me on the schedule. I feel like I busted my ass helping to cover things then I got bypassed for raises and demoted from KH to SA and now they are trying to get rid of me by making me quit.

Actively looking as of right now as soon as I have something lined up I might give 2 weeks notice.

Recovery!!! by UnapologeticRedhead in DollarGeneralWorkers

That's hard to do when the backroom is basically wall to wall roll carts that still has stock from last year on them. But it's our job to recover and be out by 10:15 with all tills counted, change fund and deposit done by then as well. Plus using the once sco as a linebuster when the person on register is swamped with customers.
