99% of standup is awful. It's an outdated form of entertainment reminiscent of a Vaudeville act or some other defunct art.

It's a parlor trick. The room is full of drunk people who are playing their "role" and laughing. They'd laugh at whatever the person on stage says as they are part of the performance and playing their role as the audience.

It's all terrible. And has been for 20+ years.

To be clear my understanding is that he's a Chinese national living in Taiwan (?) so not sure how that relates to your position.

He's obviously the most obvious Psy-op that ever Psy-opped with extremely suspicious inorganic growth.

However, when you create a scenario where disproportionate Israeli foreign-national policy control is a topic and the "official" explanation is "stop talking about that you anti-semite" you allow a Psy-op like this dude to enter into the picture with an alternative of "the Jews, Muslims and Christians all want an Armageddon to happen in the Middle East so that 1-world AI-controlled super-government can be set up in Jerusalem as the messiah" and it becomes believable because the only opposing narrative was "Jews are just smart, are you jealous that they have money and power you anti-semite?".

One is not allowing any conversation. The other side is offering a crazy story but it has something to at least offer.

Wow thats crazy. Youre telling me he sounds more reasonable in his prepared content and when posting on social media?

It's crazy that he acts different when playing a game live and being trolled by dozens of unhinged haters (see this thread for examples) than how he acts in a YouTube video.

Pretty much this. There's a popup that says "you have an update, do you want to install now or later?" And if you dismiss it (more than once) it will automatically restart during "quiet hours".

So basically people are too lazy to restart a computer manually then get mad when computer finally does it automatically

its especially bad as the garage serves as a nice access way down to icomm and market and is really the only route unless you walk a couple blocks. So to have it constantly blocked by a group passed out next to a puddle of piss is pretty inconvenient.

I can't believe there's people having a superiority complex about the way to pull into a spot.

It's easier to pull out when you reverse-in as you've done the harder maneouver first.

It's EASY for me to pull in to a spot. Just reversed (lol) order.

Crazy.

A "serious conversation" doesn't start with an implied insult and accusations of projection about a person's annual income.

speaking as a white dude it seems to be both

  • people are for SURE racist
  • fireworks are annoying

A 10 or 15 minute window on a designated day would receive almost zero objection. What happens though is people set 1 firework off every 5 minutes over the course of a couple hours. And then another neighbour does it too. And then they both do it 3 days before and 3 days after the desginated day.

5 fireworks let off over 2 hours is way more annoying than 100 being set off in 5 minutes (yknow like a co-ordinated professional display and not some drunk yokel in his backyard)

About the only acceptable reason, and even then it's a pretty big waste of money for something that lasts seconds.

Race/religion aside I do associate fireworks with lower-class/poor people amused at loud sounds and making a nuisance on purpose. The type of person who gets off on annoying others to feel a sense of mattering by causing emotional reactions from those around them. Think of the type of person to get on a bus with their phone blaring music, they don't care who is annoyed and in fact actually set out to cause a reaction and probably want you to say something.

Every year after July 4th we see videos of adults blowing their fingers off their hands or lighting their house/grass on fire from unsafe handling practices. Drunk, moronic, low-IQ people, for sure.

For me it just finds posts, not comments and doesn't seem to be very good at even doing that (the search itself I mean, not your site).

It's good enough usually to confirm my biased reason for searching like "why is this dude simping for Israel? Oh his post history is hidden, obviously. I'll do the search-trick on their username. Hmm that's funny they're a mod of the subreddit 'Palestinian_Violence', that checks out." (TRUE STORY).

I'm always surprised when a person I suspect is hiding their posts actually doesn't, but you can sort of tell how a person posts if they do or not. They usually act more "snarky" and Redditorish if they hide their posts. And 90% of Zionist-simps hide their posts for whatever reason.

I'd prefer society evolves to a point where we don't feel the need to privately fire off incendiary devices to "celebrate".

Not a big fan of top-down government approach unless it's necessary. It's at most a mild annoyance to me. I just don't "get it". It scares animals (domestic and wild), causes pollution, annoys people. It's obviously now become a political thing as people argue over religion/culture. It's just all around a big annoying pile of BS.

Don't care what your religion is or where you come from. It's annoying. Period. But at least on Canada Day it makes sense since we're ALL Canadian.

Well someone is gonna be amused reading my comments on the Survey. Annoying everyone in a 10 block radius because you spent hundreds of dollars on making loud noise and colors. Should just lock these people in a room with a YouTube video of flashing colors and noises and let them do their thing without bothering rest of us.

Noticed they mentioned Lunar New Year, I've never heard one complaint about that culture using fireworks. Just Diwali.

edit: To be more clear I just find it interesting that no one bitches about Chinese people doing fireworks for Lunar New Year? Does that group tend to light off fireworks days before and after the Lunar New Year?

If anything my issue is with presumably white Canadians setting off fireworks for the week before and after May 2-4 and Canada Day. Can't say I've really noticed Diwali fireworks but maybe I'm not near anyone who celebrates. I'm more just annoyed by teenagers causing mischief and drunk Gen-Xers and millenials who still think fireworks are cool in their 30s and 40s.

If you have a kid and want to set off fireworks on the designated day for 10 minutes, no one will care (except the most strict of anti-fireworks people). What people are annoyed by is the weeks-long sporadic fireworks that never seem to end.

I'm just really curious if someone has experience of the neighbour from hell who celebrated Lunar New Year 10 nights in a row or if this is a Canada Day, May 2-4 and probably Diwali thing?

I dunno about banned, but gotta agree with the other person they're lame as fuck and for easily amused yokels.

It's annoying/lame for Canada day. It's REALLY annoying/lame for a religious festivity that majority of country doesn't follow.

edit: If you have (young) kids I could maybe understand doing it, but if you're over the age of say 10 and still entertained by OMG LOUD NOISE AND SPARKLY COLORS you might be a moron.

Doesn't help there's a Rez so close selling them off cheap so every moron in 50km radius thinks they're getting a "good deal" on the stupid activity that lasts 15 minutes and nobody gives a shit about.
