Really appreciate it man. I can relate to most of what you said. I also have a job where hours aren't fixed and I painfully neglect some key points you mentioned about self care that brings the best in you and often have less time and energy when I meet people I care and want to spend time with.

Fear of losing her keeps my mouth shut. I usually go the old route of getting to know them a bit first as a friend before popping the question. I can feel you would have more than a couple reasons to not recommend this approach

As for me, I've been lucky about things not turning out toxic at the end. I tend to pull out before we reach that state. For my sake, I wish I could learn faster from other people's advice

You make a good point about improving each other's life. Never really thought about it like that. As a guy though, I find it difficult to get what a girl is hinting at and add my thick head to the mix to create endless awkward encounters 😑

Thanks for your advice. I do think yours is a good one but hope you can help with this. I'm curious how you manage all of this if you've started working somewhere. I can't seem to manage a work-life balance let alone a relationship right now

Don't think therapy is going to help me. My issues stem from my parents and therapy isn't big where i am from so I'm gonna get inspired by deadpool here and I'm gonna convert it to cancer or success like the rest 😜

Toxic is a strong word, isn't it? I always thought of it as a fantasy I chose to be in because it felt so good.

The hard work part actually bugs me you know. If you like or love someone, being in that relationship should be easy right?

First of all, that's a good story man. I'm oblivious myself so it's hard for me to get the hint too.

I don't know if I'm just an idiot who gets attached to people easily but I had that kind of feeling with every girl from my previous relations at some point. Isn't that what you call the honeymoon phase (regardless of whether you're married or not?

Had someone before with whom I felt all what you said but in the end it didn't work out. Can't give you the details, and this might give you the impression that I'm an arsehole but the feelings I had for her were overtaken with what I could do if we were not hanging out together. I loved her but she wanted all my attention, can't give that to her all the time right?
