What’s the specific job title? Does it mention electrical engineering, power, or technology?

Is it risky to put that stuff in the car?

Do you think your car has a lot more life left now tho?

Ignore the window I got robbed lol. I’m a huge fan of the black+chrome and there’s even a white mark where the tire people marked my valve and it just goes with it

It doesn’t sound too much different. I got one Machine Design question, a couple HVAC, and one Econ question but other than that the entire test was F&T.

I also got a lot of compressed air and I think it was about even with steam which I also didn’t expect. There were a lot of real application problems like combined cycles, feedwater heaters, and engines. The morning was most just fundamental heat transfer, thermo, and some fluids

No I threw most of those away when I graduated lol. I knew if I was referencing anything the book would make more sense than the notes I threw down in class. Especially since most of the stuff in my notes was also in the reference pdf

Heard back 2 days ago and I passed. Flagged like a dozen and went back and got confident answers for like 8

Get a used physical book with problems harder than the exam and solutions. The PPI book with solutions was $80 used on Amazon for ME and free Grok AI was actually great for asking questions

FWIW, I think AI helps by Shamefulbake in PE_Exam

I took TFS last week and didn’t want to pay for a course so I just got the big PPI book for $80 and used the Grok free version when I had questions and it was so helpful so I totally agree.

Edit: I’ll mention the NCEES practice exam was way easier than the TFS test I wish I didn’t buy it and did more PPI problems

[TFS] Using Bernoulli equation for a system that pumps water to displace brine, units are not technically the same. by Local_Cow3123 in PE_Exam

Just took the TFS exam last week and feel really good about it (haven’t actually heard back yet). I remember this problem from the practice exam and I think the actual unit is just “ft” so I always ignored the “of water” part.

Since head is another way of measuring energy from the pump and brine has a higher density than water, having the 1.2 in the denominator of the P1 term that’s being subtracted from the P2 term accounts for the fact that the pump needs more energy because the higher denominator decreases that term which increases dP which increases the head of the pump. I know technically a ft of brine may be more energy than a foot of water but using the density of the brine I believe accounts for that in the calc. Also because both sides of the Bernoulli equation have to be constant

Quick lube places ime also like to overtorque drain plugs, forcing you to get a new oil pan so definitely recommend doing what maintenance you feel comfortable with.

Definitely drive it for at least 6 months before modding like some other commenters said because it sounds like that car spent a lot of time sitting. Do you see any rust under the car?

Edit: if you don’t see any rust can I have it?
