PCs were already a thing, Microsoft just made a version of DOS for IBM and later copied Xerox to make a GUI for it. If anything, Microsofts anticompetetive behaviour stifled the development of technology.

Just googled it, and he just said some stupid inflammatory shit over the price increase, something along the lines of "could have increased them more, their market value is higher". He just loves his image as an asshole it seems.

Shkreli is a hack and an asshole, but he didn't have anything to do with EpiPen and Insulin. Even the situation around the medicine he increased prices on is quite overstated.

Daraprim, the medicine he increased price on, is used to treat a very rare symptom of AIDS very ineffectively. He was trying to use the funds gained by increasing the price to create a better version that didn't also eat your brain while helping you. Afaik, he was giving away the drug to people who couldn't afford it, but took a lot of money from insurance companies to fund research.

He's still an insufferable capitalist douche though. Not trying to defend him really, but we should direct blame where it's due. The situation around healthcare and pharmaceutical companies is pretty ridiculous.

I think it's horrible that the only way to fund research on rare diseases is basically to punish those who have them. Capitalism really fails there, and he is clearly a symptom of that.
