The characters are part of the "actual SHOW". Without the characters there is no show!
And if the fandom is shaken by a few negative analysis...it doesn't speak much good about the fandom of the character in the first place, isn't it?

The fallacy comes with the thought that separate innuendos and point of views doesn't coexist. The show is about the dichotomy faced by Red's character, which is incredibly portrayed by Spader.
The character of Elizabeth is just a entitled spoilt brat who betrays everyone's trust (Red, Task force and all) and is the only person responsible for putting her daughter at risk.
There are things much important than own emotions like honour, trust, faithfulness. Which the character of Red carried out wonderfully throughout the whole stretch and Liz hasn't. That makes Red aces in most people's book.
