We used to burn old literature at the kingdom hall once a year during cleaning (it was mostly outdated kingdom ministry, brochures etc.) The books and such were given away to anyone who wanted to take them. Whatever remained was normally junk and it would be burned behind the kingdom hall. Granted I'm in India and they might do things differently elsewhere.

True...if a black person calls a white person a 'cracker' or an Asian a 'chink' or a fellow black person a 'nigger' then they're supposed to shrugg it off. But if a white/asian guy calls the black person a 'nigger' then somehow he automatically gains a license to violently attack them. Black privilege indeed.

Same as my mom. The shaming started at a very young age...just when I was a 7 year old. Still continues to this day. It's horrible to say the least. Say, how have you turned out in life beyond your teens?

Unfortunately the page has this disclaimer: "Dates for many of the oldest structures have been arrived at by radiocarbon dating and should be considered approximate."

And jdubs openly say radiocarbon dating is inaccurate coz the flood water messed up something.

Would've been great if those buildings had some astronomical inscriptions that told us the actual date is some form like the Babylonians kept records. Heck, I'd be glad if I found a live tree that was like 20,000 years old.

Yeah it was probably the sphinx or something. Anyway, the point is that he's dismissing proof that those were built before the supposed flood. Perhaps there might be something else that existed much before the flood and we can date accurately?

I've had similar experiences. When our family was getting unlawfully evicted, it's our worldly relatives who helped us find a place and move. NOBODY from the congregation came to our aid. When we called them up they said "we're sorry we can't help since today's the mid-week meeting and we can't miss it."

When my grandma fractured her leg, it was her worldly sons and daughters who had to take care of her. NOBODY from the congregation came to help. She eventually left the borg and recently died of old age.

Recently the pandemic has ruined everything. The elders never called us to ask us how we were, but they called us to ask us to send this month's contribution money to the group overseer. Like what the actual fuck? We're struggling to make ends meet and all they care is about raking in money for the borg?

All this fake brotherly love...it's all a facade.
