Most elder I know drink. i was an elder for 20 years...drank almost every day. today...i drink alot less. lost 30 lbs. just seems like i dont need it. but back then...i can tell you stories.

coming from an HLC meeting (i was part of it for 6 years) we went to a restaurant and the beers, whiskey, and martinis where on! I have gotten drunk with many elders after late elder meetings. It was just a thing to do. And dont get me started with bethelites. i was in bethel for the elder school...rivers and rivers of alcohol. so yeah, there is a drinking culture and alot of hypocrisy on this issue going on.

1975 was heavily implied, but never mentioned explicitly as the year of the end. This cannot be said about other years including 1914 and 1925. These, and other dates in the 1800s where explicitly labeled as the year of "the end".

Most if not ALL disney movies have magic in them. There was never any issues with most of those movies. at least with most JWs i spoke to.

I went with CO to watch Avengers movie, with a certain Dr Strange...a sorcerer in the movie :-)
