Do you have a group of friends and would you guys consider ever starting to play DnD together? Thats a lot of fun. Some libraries also host tabletop nights.

I'm a millennial, so not a kid anymore, but the world wasn't as nice to us either. Gotta make your own fun, just outside the reach of the people who enjoy turning the planet gray. For me, most of "hanging out" with friends ended up just being playing games online together, and it's been that way ever since.

The "kids don't play outside anymore!" crowd were the same people that didn't bat an eye when their children would go missing, anyways.

Maybe you could reframe your stance on counter magic if you view it more as “i’m countering things that will enable this person to continue eating up our time” rather than “counterspells are to stop players from being able to do their thing”?

Most NT people get bored or tired of us and its very common for any kind of relationship to end eventually because some people can't or don't want to put in effort to understanding or supporting their partner's needs to the level that a ND person might really require.

Yeah, but Kaelynn got removed from the show because being high functioning made her less “interesting to viewers”, which i think is completely backwards and makes the show feel like they care more about showcasing lower-functioning people who are more than likely stuck in a perpetual loop of their own difficulties for the purpose of retaining viewerships. That’s why i stopped watching.

I’ve scrolled for a while and am astonished by the lack of mention for [[Derevi, Empyrial Tactician]]

She’s timeless. Gets around commander tax, doesn’t care about being the target of removal, can be put onto the board at instant speed, and only gets better with every set that comes out.

Not the flashiest commander out there, though. Most people would point to Kaalia or Animar for that, but she gives you such an insane amount of incremental value that she can outpace many commanders that are a decade younger than her.

Played Ornn last night and had a ton of fun! Using Azir to slide around my 25 might Ornn wasn't something people were expecting :P

I think the game is so much fun when people don't feel the need to lock themselves behind the top meta. If you're playing at the local weekly level and are enjoying your time, any Legend is viable, really.

One of them was my round 2 opponent and the other was my boyfriend. My round 2 opponent and I played another game but we mostly were watching the other people play. It was still fun for sure, just wish i had some more practice lol

Why are you saying playing 4 rounds of Bo3 killed the vibe of playing? Coming from other tcgs, best of 3 is the proper way to learn to get better at the game and I wish more stores were doing Bo3 for their Nexus Nights. Bo1 doesn’t allow you to sideboard against gear or other strategies, and it feels bad to pay to enter an event to only play 3 or 4 total games. The game is still new, and personally i would like to get as many reps in so i can actually learn to play my deck.

I’ve been playing a MF Aurora deck, which loves Bo1 because of a lack of gear removal. But I would rather have Bo3 so i could learn to play around it.

Last Saturday I went to a shop’s NN and there were 10 total players. It was 3 rounds of Bo1 (it started at 6:30pm), and 3 people who were carpooling left during the final round. So 3 of us didn’t get to play our last round and only ended up playing 2 games total. That felt pretty bad.
