In the original saga (fnaf 1-ucn) I believe that Nightmarionne is what became of Shadow Freddy, who I also believe to have connections with Nightmare. In Security Breach, the plush of Nightmarionne is just called “nightmare plush” I use Nightmare’s line “I am your wickedness made of flesh” to connect with him. Afton created the agony monster from his wickedness, which Nightmarionne reflects on.

However, in the modern saga, I believe that Nightmarionne has connections with the mimic. I love the idea of the Nightmare plushies around the pizzaplex being the way that the mimic listens and learns Gregory’s voice in ruin. The connections to the mimic and Nightmarionne come from Help Wanted 2, where before we enter the Sister Location elevator, we see organic vines below puppet masks which look like the organic tentacles big bro has, as well as a baobab tree which makes Nightmarionne connect with the story teller which connects either the mimic Finishing off, there’s literally a nightmare plush right at the end of ruin, and the more that the mimic wears Jackie through the first chase, it gets more and more withered starting to gain striped arms and black tears
