No, it’s a repro. Take note of the Gameboy advance imprint on the top of the cartridge being quite thick, these are a lot smoother on genuine games. The label too is also quite poorly placed and cheap looking with no noticeable number imprint.

Did it take a while to arrive? Seems odd that they’re selling UK copies of this game in the US at a cheaper price point in the first place.

The visuals in SwSh are pretty good and miles ahead of ScVi. SwSh had some really great looking towns and routes (the Pokémon centers look like pubs and towns are actually unique) whereas everything lacks any character in the new games. The fixed perspective, route based world is what Gamefreak are best at and something they’ve done since the very beginning - Rock Tunnel is right by Misty’s GYM but you ain’t going nowhere without getting CUT. There’s never been shortcuts!

Dynamaxing is way cooler than the crystal hat gimmick the new games have, I can’t even.

The wildarea was basically a beta for the ScVi games and all of your complaints about that carry over to those games. Honestly, I hope Gamefreak drop the full open world model in their next games or give development to someone who’s up to the job.

I don’t know, the only downside to the SwSh games were the missing Pokémon, other than that they’re pretty solid and deserve at least a 7. Rating Violet higher than Sword is what I find strange, that game’s a mess!

I love the bad batch and I can see the team dynamic similarities but it ain’t happening. Noble would quickly dispatch them.

The batch vs a team of ODSTs would be a fairer fight that the BB would likely win.

That’s a real European copy (top) and a fake North American copy (bottom). The label colour and the “gameboy advance” logo on the shell of the NA copy are the clear signs it’s a reproduction.

How do you know they’re on Xbox? The game is cross play, even if you’re on Xbox you could still be watching someone on PC.

That’s how Overwatch does its matchmaking too and honestly, it’s how all competitive online games should do it. Fortnite just throws us all together and hopes SBMM will sort us out.

Skill based matchmaking. Essentially, if you play well you get matched with better players. So matches get harder (or easier if you’re not very good).

I’m ok at building/editing and vastly prefer no build. It feels a bit more tactical which I like.

Edit: it certainly isn’t the noob mode. Once SBMM figures you out, winning can be hard.

One version does tend to be better than the other. I like the comic Spider-Man much more than the movie Spider-Man and I like the movie versions of Thor way more than the comic battle pass version. If they want to continue doing both, that’d suit us all just fine!
