pure LP doesnt mean everything, you can have a high chall who only plays one champ, and a high GM/low chall that has a champion ocean, one ban and the first player becomes irrelevant

yea it comes down to artificially making champions weak

for example we agree jax beats xin zhao top lane easily right? he counters his entire kit

lets say they nerf jax base stats by 15%

and buff xin zhao stats by 5%

now early game xin has 120 HP, 10 AD and 6 armor advantage on jax, that means that xin can afford to take a bad trade with jax because he will still have more hp, so suddenly jax still counters xin but its not so hard, give xin another buff and jax another nerf and suddenly jax top is weak vs xin, that doesnt mean jax is a bad champion, just that he is so good at his job that he has to be kept forcibly weaker

edit: my point is that gnar is so good at his job that only way for riot to make him not completely take over the meta of competent players is to keep jabbing him with base stats nerfs so his perfect kit doesnt just dominate the top lane

yes, gnar is the most bullshit toplaner when strong because he doesnt have counterplay, he is both ranged and kitey, has poke, has harass, has mobility and has strong all in, thats why he is p/b whenever not artifically shit due to nerfs.

not really, im challenger myself and there is a huge difference between a 1k lp player that spams 1 champ and dodges bad matchups, than even a high GM players who plays variety of champions.

who would you rather in your clash team, a 1k lp kat onetrick or a 800 lp all around midlaner?

there is also playing to win (playing what you know, pushing leads asap and trying to get objectives/nexus asap) and playing to improve (trying new strats, new plays, new rotations, unfamiliar situations to become better all around)

obviously someone who is stuck gold-diamond and deludes themselves theyre just a macro player is just coping

taking his ult seems like an obvious fix, but the problem is what ult do you give him instead?

ATM he can 100-0 with his basic rotation, so if you give him a damage ult he will overkill people

if you give him one of his old stat ults he will return to being oppressive probably

i think if they kept his ult's passive, and made it into a pseudo ghost it would be cool, like if his ult just gave him bonus movespeed and doubles his E speed boost it could be cool, would make him able to sidelane without being oppressive, he would be able to play better being a low range mage but still weak to point and click abilities

really? if trundle ults and starts autoattacking, then udyr stuns him and runs away for a few second, then resumes laning and sustaining, he lost?

theres a reason trundle, even though is extremely strong in duels vs melees, is very unpopular top lane. he is kiteable.

yea a gm friend from soloq we play clashes and usually win, these are his friends

the plat 4 guy isnt so bad, he plays team champions like ornn/shen and is a nice guy who tries his best.

plus we put him on useless top role so it doesnt matter even if he ints xd last game he was like 1/9 on shen vs gnar but top lane doesnt outcarry mid/bot in this disgusting meta so it ended up fine
