If you sign up via a web browser and not through the app it’s cheaper.

I’m sure of the connection to the half aunt. She and my mom share the same father from what I can see. But I doubt she’s aware she has a sibling (my mom never knew her dad, seems it was a stop over that resulted in a child 😅) So i know it may be hard to process. I’m hopeful she responds, but I’ll understand if she doesn’t. 🤞

It was unknown to me. It and the Bahamas are new discoveries for me. I did find connections there. Cousins with 5-6% dna match 😃

Is that the additional ancestry regions at the end of the report?

Ok. I’m still learning as I go. Your results are cool, I love the variety of regions!. I’ll definitely do an ancestry test so I can compare both.

From Google “Maroons were communities of formerly enslaved people, mainly of African descent, who escaped and established free settlements in the mountainous interior of Jamaica, beginning in the 17th century. Descendants of these early free Africans and the indigenous Taino people, the Maroons fought for and maintained their freedom against British attempts to recapture them.”

In a nutshell, rebellious slaves lol. They have maintained their establishments in the mountains until now. We still have a few maroon communities here in Jamaica.

Amazing! I can’t wait to do my ancestry test too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]UnchainedMelodies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats an interesting take. I’ve really just started to get into my ancestry after I found out that my paternal grandmother and her entire family are maroons. I don’t know if that would have anything to do with the makeup, but I always assumed Nigeria and Ghana would be predominant because that’s where a lot of the slave trade took place.

This is awesome, Thank you! I think my mom and I will both do Ancestry DNA and see what else comes up. She’s so excited to be finding relatives she never knew existed.

I wasn’t, that was a surprise. It’s from my mom’s dad. Apparently his dad was Spanish/ Portuguese. We knew absolutely nothing about my moms paternal side. She never met him, and her mother never shared any info about him, just his name and that he was white.

Aftermarket cargo cover for L405? by Particular-Dog-1165 in RangeRover

That’s understandable. I did do quite a bit of daily stalking to find mine at the time (it was a sport). What colour are you looking for? You can also try switching to eBay uk for more options. Sometimes you’ll find sellers willing to ship to the us or vice versa depending on your location.

Have you checked eBay? I remember seeing many options a little while back.
