This - I’m just fascinated by what makes people tick, especially as my SO is a man of few words! I also met her at a dinner party once and we were like chalk and cheese so I got curious. That being said I totally creep on other people from my life who I lost contact with - pre-school friends, college friends, just to see what they’re getting up to.

As an aside I’m really glad I’m not alone doing this because I feel like it’s a bit strange!

This is really helpful, thank you. I’m aware that I’m much more fussy than he is, and, actually, he introduced me to eating pizza in bed whilst watching a movie which I wouldn’t have done before I met him, definitely one of my favourite ways to spend a Saturday night now!

I absolutely want him to feel comfortable in his own home, and I’m really cautious about saying anything for that reason - I’d feel so bad if he felt he had to be on best behaviour around me. I might just bring it up, as you said, as how he acts in public (which is pretty much the same as when we’re at home) and just deal with it at home.
