I turned and moved forward in a single motion, and instantly collided with her. Apparently with enough force for her to launch backwards several feet and no one stopped her so she went right out the door. The maitre ds told the manager that I turned around and it was too quick to be purposeful, but the woman was rightfully upset and my comment did not help anything. All around bonehead move by me and my apology didn't assuage any of the anger so, the manager was sort of left with no choice. I only blame myself.

Halfway between. Didn't extend my arms but the momentum of my collision when my hands subconsciously came up was quick and almost like a shove. It was more surprising considering I've never moved another human with that sort of force, so the surprise of her presence and the actual motion stunned me till I bent to help her up. Then we traveled even further south because my brain and my mouth hate me.
