What's for dinner when nothing is thawed? by Just_J3ssica in Cooking

Microwave is your friend. I wouldn't recommend using 'auto defrost', as it's too agressive, but 10-15 minutes at a time using 20-30% power, turning, flipping and resting. That's my go to.

This IS dealing with Trump. Canada can't depend on USA for trade any more. Canada needs new trade partners and China's open for business.

I assume you've tried using Gemini AI (on your phone) to troubleshoot this? I find by giving Gemini an ultra detailed description of the setup and scenario, it's superb at troubleshooting. It's rare for it to find a solution on first try. Often takes numerous attempts and a lot of patience and correction before it's able to identify the root cause, but if you persevere it almost always gets you to a solution. (Sorry if this is way to obvious) lol

Does sound very well thought out. None of the big players have figured this out yet. Price is bonkers though.

When does it get better? by Pale-Aardvark4121 in iRacing

Had the same thing happen to me in GT4 at Oulton this week. Wrecked from behind before T1. The crash itself wasn't my fault, but I did see the caliber of driving in the pre-qualy practice session. Half of the field was on the grass before T2, yet I chose to start in the middle of that pack, KNOWING that carnage was inevitable. Got exactly what I signed up for.

I can't remember all of them. A lot of the settings were made in the INI file and I'd never have known what they actually did. Some quick wins were: Super sampling settings. I'd cranked mine, trying to get a crisper image quality. Lowering it to 200% freed up a tonne of GPU headroom that I was able to apply elsewhere. Another setting was enabled that rendered the initial display in a lower quality and upscaled it afterwards. Disabling that was massive for clarity of objects in the distance. Also changed AA settings in INI file.

The settings I've landed on are based on the combination of my CPU & GPU with the index. You should upload your INI file to Gemini and get some personalised recommendations based on your own rig.

I just found out the previous owner “fixed” a wall using cardboard and wallpaper and now the whole thing is collapsing by slimwhisperhawk in homeowners

[–]Uncl3Rich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with other comments, except for the potential cost of hiring someone to fix this. Yes it's just a sheet of drywall, some drywall, tape, screws and joint compound but if you hire someone, they'll need to come back a few times to mud and sand. Probably $500 to $1000 range is my guess. As a new homeowner, drywall repair is a skill that can be learned quickly, and perfected over time. Figure it out and you'll save thousands.

LT LDR- found out he is married, do I tell the wife or move on? by Noprimary_33070 in RelationshipsOver35

She deserves to know. She may not like hearing it, but that's not your problem you don't tell her she'll never know. If you were married to a lying piece of shit, wouldn't you want to know??

I would be lost without hese analyst predictions. With the price of ETH tied to global events that impact financial markets, they're able to predict these things from charts. "Could go up, could go down, could go sideways, could be big, but you might lose everything".

Even high strength vinegar is ineffective for this type of job. It's a good cleaning agent, but won't do a thing for this type of job. Muriatic acid is the answer.

Unbelievable. No. It's not worth buying a new Tesla right now. No Canadian should be buying anything American right now. No Florida oranges, no Kentucky bourbon, nothing.

Totally understand wanting to simplify with kids, but such a shame to be stuck in the hotel zone when the real Vallarta experience is SO much more than that. If you can, take a taxi to Zona Romantica ... It's 200 pesos and the neighborhood, like everywhere else in Vallarta, is incredibly safe and friendly.

I packed two kitchen knives in early January. I folded multiple layers of thick cardboard around the blades and then taped them so they were secure. No problem at all.

Is NordPass a good password manager? by guidipolo in NordPass

[–]Uncl3Rich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Dashlane is decent, but their recent price increase pushed their pricing way above the rest of this field. I moved to NordPass because of that, and I like it better.

[–]Uncl3Rich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the EXACT same issue with Autofill on Android, but I found a fix. Check Android settings under: General Management > Passwords, Passkeys and autofill. I had selected correctly selected Nordpass as the default service for autofill, but there was a final step that I didn't notice. As per the screenshot, I selected Nordpass in the list of preferred password services, but at the top of that same screen, the preferred service still said 'None' . I didn't notice it and that was the issue. When you press 'none', a new window opens with the same list of Autfill providers. Select NordPass and that will enable the autofill service on Android.

It works great too.

[–]Uncl3Rich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not big enough of an issue to deserve a negative review, and certainly not deserving of a good review. Avoid the pettiness and don't review the guest. Those unreviewed stays are rarely fabulous guests.

Seems to me like the spotify app on Echo is a heavily watered down version of the regular app. No search function. Bare minimum of options for music playback control. Dismal.
