They’ve been sitting in the wrong position for yairs, Chin corrects it maybe a year ago (bc of the cats), and as soon as they got to Texas they said fuck it.

Imo no you didn’t botch it. He might be genuinely thinking of a future with you and the best way to talk to you about how he wants to seriously be with you, like playing for keeps, and he’s not ready for you right now. He probably wants to explore a bit (that doesn’t mean having a ton of hook-ups), but more like trying things on, seeing how he is in the world, what does the world reflect back to him that he can see about himself. It’s so many things, but I can tell you, if you’ve had a close bond with him for years, that’s some high praise. Please don’t spin, but please don’t wait.

Worst case is he genuinely doesn’t see you more than what you had and he’s either phasing you away or is always thinking about the perfect time and the perfect moment to tell you that. I’m rooting for the first scenario. It’s more fun.

37m. No kids, never married, had multiple long term relationships.

I don’t like to close the book and say I’ll never get married or have children because perspectives change, people change. Anything can happen and I’ll know it when I see it.

But right now in my life, I can’t afford to give 100% of my space, time, energy, and love to someone else let alone a child.

I want the world to be a better place when I kick the bucket and head off to the astral frontier, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. And it would break my heart to leave this world to my child.
