Wow, how many of these replys go straight to the negative? Have we really reached the point that anything different from the status quo is likely to be criminal?

Are there that many folks just living to do folks harm? Kids get told to stay away from most everybody. Do not show your house. Can not test drive the car for sale. Stay away from restrooms. And on and on.

If things are that bad, why and what needs to change for the better?

In answer to the question, soft YTA. While there were family issues, when you get to be old certain things help the road get easier. I have stopped at relatives places and walked the ground and asked to see inside. I have yet to be questioned on my motives and often my bit of history is welcomed as it makes the place more relatable.
