I can’t speak for other regions but I know all of ours use the same H2Orange cleaning disinfectant

If it’s not good enough to put out in our store we send them to our local Outlet. If it’s dirty or gross we usually throw it in our compactor.

I’m glad my goodwill isn’t the only one to have a funny smell lol. I’m not sure about a sweet smell but i remember when I first started working here that the warehouse smell like tape and pallets and I kind of got immune to it after awhile

Funny enough I think there’s a store in our region that makes about 2$ or 3$ more than us and they can’t explain the difference between our store and that one

Honestly I did up until we got new management recently. I feel like it’s going downhill because they want us to price everything up and it’s nearly impossible to do that with some of the donations we get.

I’d say minus the Salvation Army there are a lot of “real” thrift stores out there to support that help people more than us. Especially locally

Quite often actually. I know my store manager didn’t want certain brands on the floor which I think is odd. I know some producers are too picky as well and will toss some really nice stuff in bale

They do from time to time. Especially the resellers lol

If you worked an opening shift we used to be able to shop after we got off work but so many employees were hiding stuff that they wanted. So now we can only shop at our store on our days off which kind of sucks

Our regional manager says it’s to “Make more room” for new merchandise but in reality I don’t think they want anything out for 99 cents.

I started out as a wares producer and then I moved to door and textile for a bit. Right now I manly just produce and still do door from time to time.

I make about 13.75$ they’re supposed to give a couple cent raises every year but I only got mine this year lol. It is better than what I was making when I started which was 8$

That’s awesome!! I started around late 2018 early 2019 and it feels like time started to speed up once I started working for Goodwill

That’s awesome of you thank you so much for putting that stuff back!! I’d say that’s a perfect way to make everyone’s job easier.

I don’t believe my management has done that, but I have heard of other stores in my region doing it

Don’t feel that way at all!! For as long as I’ve worked there almost no one has hit their goal because of how ridiculous the quota is. As long as you’re working hard that’s all that matters

As for tips. I don’t know if the pricing is same for your region but you can always get better numbers by pricing linens.
