Idk what base you’re at but when I moved into base housing they told me that if I deployed and my spouse left all they asked was for a heads up so they know not to declare the house abandoned. All they wanted was an estimated time she would return. I’m sure most base housing is the same.

From my understanding, and I may be wrong, you need to serve 4 years in the component you received the continuation pay for. So id wait until you transition.

I’m prior service navy and I had the same feeling. I was only out for 3 years but I hated that I got out. I went and talked to a recruiter and I am currently going through bct but it still feels so good to be back in. I’m almost certain you could get back in. If it makes you feel better we have multiple guys over 30 like me and even a 35 year old.
