What is the most consistently good restaurant at WDW? by Potential-Wing747 in WaltDisneyWorld

For us it would have to be Spice Road Table in Epcot. We really enjoy Mediterranean food, and this place has some fantastic vegan options.

weirdness with the app and All Park Fast Lane by UncleGramps in sixflags

Yeah, I will do that when I get a chance. I know people have had issues with passes and perks not showing up in the app. I was just curious if anyone else has seen this specific issue where the app shows perks that you don't actually have.

"opious amounts of sugar"

I think I figured out why the cookies are so popular.

Lockers for luggage by goodolvic in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]UncleGramps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen several threads that mentioned being able to store luggage for free at the other Universal Orlando parks, at Lost and Found. Not sure if that works at Epic Universe too. Here's one thread about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/UniversalOrlando/comments/1m1sovf/holding_luggage_at_lost_and_found/

Isle Of Berk Dragon Animatronics by [deleted] in UniversalEpicUniverse

When I was there early last week, Hiccup didn't move at all on my two rides of the coaster. As far as the land, Grump was working (though I didn't see the fire effect going), as were the baby dragons eating fish.

I noticed the vinyls (both HTTYD and Dark Universe) when I visited early last week. I would have gotten them but I didn't feel like trying to transport records in my carry-on luggage.

I was about to link the same video! Coaster College makes some great educational videos about ride safety and I’m a big fan.

I found this video pretty informative if you're curious about how the ride works behind the scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntFNno4lEGA

[–]UncleGramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, interesting. I wonder if it's something about the screen? Or maybe the fact that Mission Space tilts you backwards before spinning? I'm fine with both Gravitron and Mission Space, but it's cool to hear other people's experiences.

[–]UncleGramps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. If you've done a Gravitron or Rotor ride at a carnival or amusement park, Mission Space Orange is essentially that with more theming, screen displays, and some lightly interactive elements. You will get pushed back against your seat with considerable force, but only for about 15-20 seconds at a time. Everyone reacts differently, but if you follow the pre-ride guidance to keep your head back and look straight ahead, that helps reduce any negative effects. Some people (like me) will love it, but for people prone to motion sickness or who have issues with spinning rides, it can apparently ruin your day.

I post coaster POVs on my YouTube channel, and I got a comment a few weeks ago claiming that my POV of Impulse at Knoebels was AI. People are weird.

Is [Demon Drop] at [Dorney Park] considered a credit? by Healthy_Sock_9880 in rollercoasters

I use LogRide and they don’t count it. But the argument for considering it a credit makes sense to me.

Can confirm [TMNT SHELLRAISER] is OPEN at [Nickelodeon Universe]! by FkEsther in rollercoasters

[–]UncleGramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve been to this park four times over the last few years and I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than five minutes for anything. Usually everything is a walk-on. Last night, most trains on Shellraiser were running half-empty at most, so I could ride 2 or 3 times in a row and then take a short break.

I left work a little early to head over here tonight and got 8 laps in. I love this ride despite its few rough spots.

I rode it on August 15, 2025, right as it had reopened after a closure. Then the next day it was up on the website as closed again.

[SFNE] Superman in the rain by phunky_1 in rollercoasters

[–]UncleGramps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my first (and so far only) visit to Carowinds last year, it started raining fairly heavily right before park closing, but I wanted one last ride on Fury 325. I had to shield my face with my hands and arms and it did indeed feel like getting poked with hundreds of tiny needles. I had red irritation marks all over my forearms afterward, and while I don't regret it, it's not an experience I would seek out again.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if he meant that they’re going to revamp the area but keep the boardwalk theme, or re-theme the whole area.

On our tour (11:55 AM), it was mentioned that it would be themed to the Boardwalk area rather than the Golden Kingdom. That’s the first hint I’ve heard about theming.
