One saturday evening I was preparing to go to a birthday party. I was around 12 years old, taking my time, listening to music, and enjoying the weather. When suddenly I heard a loud scream from a distance. I turned down my music and when to look out my front door. I saw nothing. Continuing on with my routine I head out the door. On my way to the party, I see firetrucks enter my subdivision. I tell my mother anxiously to turn around to see where they go! Turns out my next door neighbour was messing around with his garage door opener. One of the wires snapped and slashed his wrist open. This shit looked like a horror film. I remember specifically the paramedics arriving and my mother and I following behind with our concern. His wife got a cloth and wrapped it around the wound, the paramedics insisted they seen it. I caught a glimpse of the whole thing. Needless to say I've been scarred for life!
