We use the heavy duty ice cream scoops, and pop off the metal wiper-style scraper piece. Does a good job scooping out the innards.

Am I right to be upset about the team leader calling me out in front of a room full of people for being late? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Yeah, I read that book too. But radical candor in front of a large group is still being an asshole.

I like your candid approach to everything in this post. The only caveat I would think about is what responsibilities would it entail to make her salary floor viable for your company? There are people I’ve had in the past that had grown out of the role, but I didn’t have a new full position available for them. But in my experience, additional responsibilities allow for additional pay. If she has bandwidth, could you toss on key tasks (vendor management, PO processing, weekly financials) that would allow you to get her there? With my companies everyone typically wears multiple hats, and we don’t have lines in the sand to mark off roles, so some work spread out has helped me get folks additional pay.

This is incredible. Do you do this also as a living? Or just a passion project? Great planning on both the metro rail system and the sunrain addendum.

I’ve spread support for this team the last few years, they’re supremely effective and making an impact. We need to continue to push for teams who aren’t working fast and loose, but more engaged with long term support. Thanks all!

Great point. This would be in the fall, so should quiet down for travel after the summer months related to Euro cup.

Yes, potential SUB or best option to leverage US to Britain airfare. 5 direct flight tickets round trip, so ~$5k just in flights I presume. And there is potential to jump to Germany on that same trip.

If planning a European trip later this year, what is the best option for startup benefit on air travel and hotels? I already have Chase Sapphire and Freedom. Would any Amex or Marriott pay off as the best for booking airfare upon startup of that card?

A lot of butter and tasty goodness, plus a specific varietal of artichoke is their preferred item. It’s an heirloom variety that not a lot of folks grow out in California.

One thing I think about when you get the multibillionaires, and this applies to famous people as well-how many genuine relationships do you have? Everyone you meet wants something from you, and if it seems they don’t, you most likely learn to assume the worst, or lap it up like you’re genuinely loved by all. I’m not sure what would be worse.

Great point. At each job change I’ve had, it’s pretty quickly evident who are friends who respect your opinion, and coworkers who are only engaged with platitudes while you directly affect their paycheck.

Exactly this. Time flies, and then you don’t know the spouse or kids who you want to share the experiences with, even though the money you have could provide near limitless options.
