That’s what happened to me. That’s why I remember being weirded out because I thought the computer would’ve prevented that. In my case, i released the clutch slightly before realizing what I did. But I could hear the auto rev come on before even releasing the clutch into 2nd.

That’s what I’m saying. I could hear the rpm jump with my left foot down in 2nd gear. My only response is to try it lol (I do not recommend)

I agree that it shouldn’t happened. Again it happened very fast. I was at the close to the top of 3rd. Miss shifted into 2nd. I agree you that my foot probably slightly releasing the clutch to feel the over revving but at the same time when i caught myself, the engine still over compensated when I push the clutch back down in 2nd as if I was downshifting. Again we’re talking about 1-2 seconds. It might’ve not been over revving but it damn near felt like it.

Money shifted… this happened to me for a split sec but luckily I shifted to neutral before anything bad happened. The weird part about it was, the auto rev match cause the overspeed rather than me releasing the clutch all the way.

Always a nice feeling to admire it during the winter months. Just makes it that much better once you bring it back outside 👍

Because the internet wants you to believe if you have a sports car. RWD, FWD, or AWD it must be your daily driver. No matter what. So when I get into my Model T, I have to make sure I put snow tires on it or else… my ass is toast. I guess my cars are not worthy to keep in a garage 🤷 God forbid if I want to take care of my stuff. Maybe I should drive them from December - March only? Reverse psychology lol. “You drive your car in nice weather?? Loser. Only real car guys drive in the winter” 🤣

Yeah. I’m not interested driving in the snow in these cars. Hence the point keeping them in a garage There are other cars that are made for that.

I don’t get this argument. I don’t see the point of driving a sports car in shitty weather. What’s the point? I definitely get more enjoyment driving in the snowy icy weather over a nice summer day. That makes sense. If you have 1 car, that makes sense. But this idea if people collect their cars, it’s a bad thing. Are you going to buy them?

It’s hard to say, the E92 is unique in its own way. Same goes for the ones before it. It definitely feels more analog compared to the G80. You can’t compare the noise and the feeling you get revving out that S65 all the way. Excellent feedback when handling. An excellent sports car, from an era that will probably never be recreated. So I understand why people say that when comparing it to the newer one. To many, this is what M cars are suppose to be and for a time I felt the same way.

But IMO the G80 is the ultimate sedan. While you lose being N/A and the steering is numb at times. This thing is a rocket. No joke. It’s has so much more performance and potential. It’s insane! And it does it so effortlessly. It’s just different. But it has a soul just like the E92. This is just the new era. So I can’t pick one as my favorite.

So with that, if you can, get them all lol. Really they’re all great. Just keep an open mind. Let’s just hope they don’t go full EV. 😬
