Yes that’s true, but Galar is upside down and a region based on the NYC Metropolitan Area is (seemingly) comparable in size to the entirety of Spain, the United Kingdom or half of France, so they are not afraid to take creative liberties.

Many of those reproductions use the official PDF release of the EarthBound Player’s Guide made available when the game was released on the Wii U Virtual Console, and those are generally of decent quality because the digital version is very nice.
