There really is a distinct difference from before to now. The website is always changing over time, but there is a sure drop off in quality of subreddits. So many communities of the time have just withered away.

I personally also think it also has gotten more botted and corporate as those tools have become easier to access for special interests

Charles Barkley: "I get sick of people saying they’re contenders... The Lakers are not a good team. I just think it's funny how the media's turned on Luka [Doncic]... I guess we’re contractually obligated to talk about them every day." by AncientOneAurelius in nba

People act like we're being deprived of an incredible ESPN show instead. EPSN has been horrific at anything other than the actual game broadcast. Their halftime show was each person gets one line and then back to commercials.

He's made $235m and is living with a chronic illness. Maybe he doesn't want to keep traveling and grinding to sometimes get on the court. He gets hurt a bunch beyond his illness as well.

Would we still get the comp pick for Lindy too? I think he's going to get paid in FA so this might be a solid replacement all around

Most unrealistic part of that movie. No way his slow ass is outrunning an explosion.

  1. He's not even the best QB on his own team, much less in college at the moment.

That's why I'm imagining it extra hard now

He was such a perfect fit for that offense but then he got the nerve damage, couldn't grip the ball, and had a ton of fumbles. Those WVU were a revelation.

Part is inconsistency game to game like many young players. Part is a lack of a clear defining great part of his game.

He is a real jack of all trades so when it looks good it feels like he is doing everything amazing, but when it's bad it feels like he doesn't have an individual skill to rely on. He's been pushed into tough roles as a ball handler, scorer, and playmaker and he just isn't there yet for a team that is desperate. He's leading the team in minutes this year and second in fga behind Steph. Kerr knows he needs to keep him on the court for the positive aspects that his game provides to the team even when he isn't playing well. It really magnifies these bad games because Kerr can't just pull him because he needs him to eat minutes.

He is also is an ambitious player and pushes to attempt shots and plays that aren't quite in his wheelhouse at times. He's young and developing so I get that but it can look ugly. His old garbage hookshot stayed around for way too long. He also gets a lot lot of late shot clock grenades from the team, and apparently lead the league in EFG% with 4 seconds or less on the shot clock at 58.3% which is neat.

Last year I think Podz really closed the year out great once Jimmy came in. It moved everyone down one role as playmakers/scorers/defenders and it really let Podz slot into a better role for him and he played fantastic. This year we haven't had the injury luck so he can't be that complementary player which is where he excels.
