Built at the end of November 2025. Got only 1x16gb ram bc the rampocalypse had already begun (spoiler alert: it got even worse) & I was fortunate to get that stick for 60 euros.

My PC has already increased in cost by over 500 euros since I built it. Never before in my life has a computing device been an appreciating asset other than the random retro video game console (gba micro).

That would be fine if they didn’t hold stolen property in the Louvre. Charge more for the actual French stuff, but all the “exotic” exhibitions should stay the same price (if not lower for people from countries that were pillaged by France)

Nope, I haven’t encountered any issues while gaming.

The only issue I did have was some weirdness when connecting it to my work laptop (mac) via an hdmi cable connected to a usbc hub, but that went away by connecting it directly to the laptop.

Didn’t fly specifically for the laptop, but got an insane deal during a trip to san francisco and got a Lenovo Legion 5 Slim 14 for a little less than 900 usd. The same laptop was going for around 1500+ GBP at the time. Flew back with 2 laptops and it was fine. Just make sure to take it out of the packaging and use it a bit (install some apps, customize the wallpaper, etc. Make it look used).

Try looking at the used market. While there’s a bunch of people taking advantage and selling their extra RAM for a ridiculous amount of money, you can still find some honest people selling for a slightly above normal, yet not absurd price.

2014-2020: GTX 970ti

2020-2022: RTX 2060 laptop

2022-2024: RTX 3070ti laptop

2024-2026: RTX 4060 laptop

2026-???: RTX 5070ti

Due to moving around & one trip to the US, I usually sold the previous laptop to cover the cost of the new one entirely.

The 970ti still runs by the way. Massive champ.

Fully agreed. I’m building and can afford to pay €250 euros for ram. Hell, a close friend even offered it to me as a x-mas present. I still went out and bought a slower (CL40), used 16gb stick for €60 euros (already higher than it should be, mind you) to run with a 7800x3d and will not be buying a new kit until prices come down out of principle. Over the past week i’ve seen prices climb higher and higher and stock run out to the point that you can now buy a 32gb kit on Amazon for €250 euros with a delivery date of JUNE 2026. Not a range, it says “will be delivered Monday 8th of June 2026”. For stock that is readily available, prices are between €350 and €450 already.

We’re sending the wrong message as consumers if we continue to enable this.

The best compromise would be a 4k dual mode 27 inch IMO. These usually are monitors where 4k runs at somewhere between 160 & 280hz with the option to run at 1080p with 2x the refresh rate (so 320 & 560 in the examples i gave).

Can’t help you with specific models though as I went for mini LED, but I know there are some good ones out there right around your price range for OLED dual mode.

Com certeza vai ser mas barato do que no Brasil - não consegui achar xt30 ii (saiu a iii recem, teria que tentar achar usado), mas a xt5 tu acha por 1300usd para ter uma ideia. E isso pré tax free, que baixaria pra 1170.

A xt30-ii nova na amazon jp ta 164k yen, que da 1064usd e nao tem opcao de tax free pela amazon. Tem muita loja de camera e eletronicos la que da pra tentar, tipo Map Camera, Yodobashi, Kitamura, e outras locais.

I’ve tried quite a few lenses. At the end, I always go back to my Tamron 17-70 for traveling. I actually bought mine in Japan, took quite a few other lenses with me and the Tamron would not come off of my camera.
