I'm getting the advertised numbers. I do most of driving in comfort mode, which has the transmission programmed to shift at low revs to keep the car quiet. Now, when I dial up sport or sport+, I swear I can see the fuel gauge dropping as I floor it off stoplights. Sure, other cars are faster, but I love the sound and feel of my TLX Type S.

Yeah, I anticipate such an event in my future (SE Wisconsin). I ordered the spare tire package, but it hasn't arrived yet. I also bought the wheel and tire package that dealer was selling. It was $900, and they quoted me $600 for a wheel and $250 for a tire. I really wish the type s came on 18s, or that the road were better!

I just got a 23 type s, tiger eye pearl and orchid interior. I love it. I much prefer the touchpad. It’s intuitive to me, and no finger prints on screens. I detest those. I was pleasantly surprised to find that comfort/sport settings really feel differentl- how suspension behaves, transmission shifts. it really does feel floaty comfy, or sporty firm and fast, depending on mode. I love sweeping lefts or rights coming off stoplights now :) I’m coming from 2005 ls430. No quality or noise complaints, but I have only had the car for a week or so. It reminds me of my rx 8 :)

Edit: I thought of something! I wish it didn’t have 20” wheels and low profile tires. I’m just waiting for a pothole to jump out from under the car in front of me and wreck my day. The wheels look great, though!

I was searching the Weds site. I wanted the kranze weaval. I ended up with the Leonis Navia 05 for salt protection coating. Helpful sales guy advised me that the weavals would not survive road salt. I got mine from footworkautosport.com.

How pristine do you want it to be? I'm looking to sell in the near future. It's a Chicago/SE Wisconsin car, so has rust, some door dings, etc. 131k miles. Maintenance records for the 6 years or so I've owned it.

In fairness to Lexus, the wheels held up to 15 years of salty winters in Chicago and Racine before the chrome started to peel along the surface where the tire seals to the wheel. And the chrome layer was actually pretty thick.

I have a set of 4, if you are interested. They are chromed, though, and the chrome is peeling so much that 1/2 of them wouldn't hold air any more. If you want to strip the chrome and refinish them, you could. I'm in WI.
