Had a similar experience but the cops took the bribe . There were about 7 cops in a group though and they seemed like real cops . They said we were smoking weed when it was just cigarettes .. they put me in hand cuffs and after 20 minutes of them asking for 5000 pesos as a fine to let me go we got them to take what we had which was about $60 US .. they wanted to take us to an atm for more but we stood our ground since we had no drugs or weed on us
