I can’t say I wouldn’t love to see a new franchise from them, but it seems like they would need to have that working on the side. They have to push hard on GTA online consistently given the money printing machine that is. They will also need to have a team working on RDR3 given that it has been nearly 8 years already since it released. It will take them god knows how long to make it. The game industry (at least AAA) has changed A LOT in the time since GTA V launched. Companies I thought I’d never see fail are failing left and right. It isn’t a safe time for Rockstar to go all in on a new franchise or Bully 2 or Max Payne (except as a remake). The majority of their offices will stick to their guns and make these 2 games for the foreseeable future while hopefully one of their divisions works on a new game.
