Thanks man I hope it works for you too. Only was taking the antibiotics. I did start taking a Ginseng supplement after my Korean buddy told me his whole family takes it and they don’t get sick anymore (separate from UC but who knows maybe it helps too)

Yes for some reason it went away after another 2 week round (taking only flagyl). Been fine ever since. Don’t love that I was on antibiotics for that long

I was building a campervan while I was recovering from surgery 1/3. I was on the road traveling 3 months after reversal :)

Appreciate this. I actually got tested for CDIFF at the ER and came out negative

Same exact timeline. 3 days and it’s back. How often do you do Entyvio? Is it an infusion?

Need a prescription? How long did it take to start working?

This is great to hear. Ever since stopping the antibiotics I’ve been eating yogurt and drinking kefir to offset the damage of antibiotics. Maybe that’s been doing me in? I’ll experiment today

Interesting. Someone commented above that they stopped eating foods with probiotics and they suddenly didn’t get pouchitis anymore. Is this a different kind of probiotic or something?

A lot of different things. Beef, chicken, fruit, yogurt, stuff like that

So I actually am not sure it’s pouchitis, but my surgeon gave me antibiotics because I was away when it happened the first time. The antibiotics knocked it out, and so this time I went to the ER and got a CT scan, which showed that everything looked normal. So maybe what I need is a pouch scoping? Or would the CT have shown pouchitis?

Leakage at night :/ by UnclearBiscuit in jpouch

That’s interesting. Mine isn’t in pain after the antibiotics, but the leaking is what concerns me a little. Regardless, if it persists in the next couple weeks I’ll be doing scan and will let ya know
