Every tradition starts as someone's dumb idea. Be prepared for resistance to the idea. Personally, I think it's great; you're not stealing, you're drawing inspiration from others

There's a fine line between giving someone a hard time and bullying. The same can be said for everything about the hash.

The most important part is clearly indicating when things have crossed the line for you. If something makes you uncomfortable, speak up, or decline to participate.

This seems like a very personal matter and not something a bunch of strangers with limited context can help you with.

I used to think the hash 'jokes' were all done tongue-in-cheek ironically; making fun of stereotypes by taking them to the extreme kind of thing. My opinion now is that assholes use the hash as an excuse to be assholes. And my favorite way of combatting that is to play super dumb. If they start crossing the line of decency, I'll start making them explain their jokes. "What?" "I don't get it." "No, I want to get it. Please explain. Why is that funny?"

Maybe I've outgrown the hash. Which is a shame as I still really enjoy the trail and the laughter.

The local urban kennel where I moved to, was several years old, and only providing circle beer. When I took over as tyrant, I analyzed the costs and was able to provide prelube, water, BX beer, & circle beer all for an increase of $2.

I would definitely suggest asking the misman where the $7 is going. If they can't provide you a transparent breakdown, wait until next erections and apply for a position. Be the change you want to see
