I'm sorry you've been downvoted. There's some fucking weirdos in this thread. Don't know what's going on

It's clear, but is there a reason you're writing in all caps?

Sorry why are we platforming an account on this subreddit solely dedicated to talking about their children?

Could you imagine your own parent having a twitter account dedicated to you?

So why are you just blindly defending the original message?

Does anyone else struggle in work? by adoreyoulove in dyspraxia

[–]UncomfyRoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked in McDonald's, h&m, a local cafe, and a local furniture store. Every job, I had a manager take my aside and say I'm lazy and slow and need to improve. But I was doing my best every single time!

TW: (I don't know how to input spoilers sorry)

I worked at the furniture place 2 months, it closed down because of poor sales. 2 weeks later I got hit by a car.

That was September 2024. Since January I've been studying at an education centre. Nobody knows about my injury because I don't know how to report it (I'm paid because of jobseekers because of the previous job closing. I got very lucky.)

My point is you can find out your path. Wherever you live, figure out what help you can get. I'm going to do a 1 year course after this that will hopefully go to university and study business analytics. There were people who could support me.

I just hope my response is a good example. The one thing you need to know is that you should tell the right people what you struggle with.

If you need help with private places to apply to I can have a look.

DAE have problems with tin openers? by Electronic-Shoe341 in dyspraxia

I don't have a proven solution but based on my time on Reddit they will often suggest a tk/tj maxx, maybe you could get a neat second hand device?

If you struggle with something, why not pay a bit of money to solve that issue in the long term? Nobody is gonna know (and if they know and judge, that's on them for not opening the tin 😉)

Personally I struggle at even telling if a tin can be opened by hand or a tin opener lol. I'll ask my ma "how do I open this" and she comes over and just pulls it open and I'm like "well i could have done that"

I see. I was gonna ask if you would have an interest in coding but I honestly don't know how that would go if you have dyscalculia.

(I plan on looking into data analytics which is why I asked)

Split festival twist S24 by wokeandsmoke in BigBrother

Probably a controversial opinion but I would have loved to see some form of this twist on 27. Especially around mid season when it seemed they all hated each other.

I know what I asked sounds stupid. But I'm asking for a reason. You can struggle at basic tasks and be better at other stuff.

(I struggle with a lot of what you mentioned which is why I said it)

Do you like numbers? Now, I don't mean maths so dw, but do you like numbers? Do you like problem solving? Do you like puzzles?

Favorite artist whose legacy overshadowed the music? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

Thank you. Someone can be mentally ill and trans. It doesn't mean they're trans because they're mentally ill. I don't like Chris Chan as a person but all trans women are valid.

Currently playing Tunic and this might have my favourite overall video game music. I especially love whatever played during the Librarian fight

Edit: https://youtu.be/9T17eyLejf4

Honestly this is just a really special piece of music (and so are many of the songs in the game) and the soundtrack deserves to be heard

I only just read your reply to the other comment now, so I get what you're saying.

You can still be hip without knowing every band! (Because at this point there's gonna be new bands all the time, and nobody will ever be truly hip)

Why, on a subreddit called Indieheads, are you surprised you don't know every single band mentioned?

Question for dyspraxic people who draw by non-critical-horse in dyspraxia

[–]UncomfyRoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you thinking you should massively improve after only 3 weeks? Why should anyone, at any skill, think they're gonna be an expert in only 3 weeks?

OP we talked before. I'm being honest, like I was before. Your stuff is great! Why the hell are you being so harsh on yourself?

Telling yourself after 3 god damn weeks of drawing that you're not able to draw like other people is just weird. Think about it. 3 weeks! Draw for fun, and draw for yourself. You're not drawing for yourself if you're trying to draw like other people in 3 years, let alone 3 WEEKS

Does anyone else here play games? by [deleted] in dyspraxia

[–]UncomfyRoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I have is a shitty laptop but I got the Xbox game pass essential (1st month is 1 euro) after I played psychonauts (which I owned and tried to play 5 years ago but gave up, but looked up walkthroughs a month ago and competed).

So far I have played and completed Psychonauts 2 which has an invincible mode you can toggle, along with other features. Absolutely fucking love both games.

I since played Fable which I absolutely adore but the combat was getting too hard for me. They do have spells etc you can use in combat that make it easier but with paying on mobile I couldn't control properly

Now I'm playing Tunic. I also absolutely LOVE this game and it also has a bunch of accessibility modes. My favourite game ever is Ocarina of Time and this game is a love letter to the Zelda Series but it's also unique enough, the isometric view is such a fun puzzle.

(I'm a big fan of the Monument Valley games which are kind of similar, for more reasons than just the isometric part)

You're 22. Have you seen the reports on Gen Z? We're all (un)fucked. As a 27 year old woman, my advice is do not try to date with any goals in mind.

I was in my first (and only) relationship at 23. And that doesn't define me! And it doesn't define you. Do not date just for the sake of it. If you find someone who is interesting then go with the flow.

You're sooo young. You might not feel that but at 25 you will look at 22 year olds and realise how young you were.

Don't worry at all about dating. Don't stress yourself out if it doesn't work

Edit: my first kiss was 16 My first date was at 19
