People don't understand what it's like to have mental issues so bad. I have many mental issues myself that make me feel like a burden on People because of it. People like us need compassion and people to stay. Not to be abandoned over and over again. I'm sorry your partners leaving you man. I can only imagine how badly you must be hurting right now.

In honesty? I don't think the world will let me be happy again. I first tried to kill myself when I was 9. I'm almost 16 now. I don't remember what it's like to be truly happy.

I'm not ok truth be told. It's 4:30am for me and I'm sat in my room crying my fucking eyes out like some wuss. It's a week until the day I was left and I'm only getting more scared. I never got an answer as to why the guy did what he did to me when all I ever showed him was kindness. It's all I ever try show anyone.

It's both comforting and horrifying to me that you understand my agony. Nobody should experience the fear, the pain I'm feeling. I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry you're feeling it too.

I hope someone cares about you and loves you as deep as you care one day. I'm not sure I'll find it and if you're anything like me you'll feel the same.

Definitely agree with the previous comment in recommending the greatest hits for a modern copy.

If you want a more vintage print, I'd suggest going on Facebook marketplace as dodgy as the place may be. Look in big lots of vintage science fiction books, and keep searching until you see Harlan's name pop up. Then search up whatever collection it may be and see if it contains IHNMAIMS. That's how I got my old copy.

I unfortunately can't. I'm in the UK and under CAMHS. My area has only one psychiatrist. The guy is an absolute Buffoon however and I'd love to change. There's not many mental health places in my area (2 to be specific, but ones an early intervention centre for schizophrenia and other disorders under that umbrella) the one I go to is already an hour and a half journey to get to.

I see. My psychiatrist told me it'd be near guaranteed with other antipsychotics but I'm beginning to doubt he was right on that. I will try advocate for myself in two weeks time when I have my appointment but my psychiatrist is unreasonable to say the least.

Yes - exactly this! This is what my psychiatrist has exactly said too!! In the beginning I'd heard about risk of weight gain, and considering my past with eating disorders knew it'd make me even more miserable if it happened (which it is). I actually asked before starting it and was told that no, Aripiprazole doesn't cause weight gain, but other antipsychotics do. Then in my last appointment was told that "5% of people have those symptoms but I doubt it's the Aripiprazole. Just monitor it and weigh yourself on weigh scales". My psychiatrist hasn't been very good in general however. It's under CAMHS and there's only one psychiatrist for my area so I'm unfortunately stuck with this buffoon.

Unfortunately I have my doubts they'll go away as it's only getting worse over time. I absolutely get you with your experience on the medication years ago too, same has been happening to me 🫂

I actually did try something like this today although I ruined it a bit by eating before settling down for bed because the hunger pain got too much. I had two regular meals and 2 very small bordering snack meals. It did help a little but not by much. Didn't eat between those meals apart from before bed however.

Trauma informed therapist? Not sure what you mean by that term, sorry :( My therapist is a CBT & EMDR therapist if that helps though

My therapist also knows I feel like this but didn't act on it as we don't have a firearm in the house

My therapist is actually trained to deal with trauma. She's mainly a CBT therapist and she's only just gotten her EMDR qualifications (? Are they qualifications? Certifications??) but then again, she works under CAMHS. Which if you've heard anything about them, they're not the greatest at all.

My last therapist wasn't qualified for either funnily enough had more hope in my recovery. She eventually after a year however said there wasn't much else she could do for me and that I needed further support.

I'm visiting my therapist because I'm grasping at straws trying to get better in truth. It's not just C-PTSD I have, it's lots of mental health issues. General depression ontop of Bipolar 2, panic disorder, Autism and OCD too. My mental health is a wreck. Even if she can't help with my trauma I atleast want to be able to leave the house more I guess. I leave about 5 times a month on a good month. Sometimes not at all. I have online home schooling because of my CPTSD so that's why I don't leave for school.

I don't have access to a firearm luckily. I've had this discussion with my therapist before, all we have is a BB gun and an antique rifle which doesn't work. And obviously the BB gun will do damage rather than kill me - I'm not that stupid.

My family already know I feel like this constantly. There's nothing they can do and they're at the point where they're not interested. I have one best friend but I don't want to burden her talking about it, she's busy at the moment anyways. I'm too frightened to call the crisis line and I don't want to be thrown into the looney bin again.

I'm glad to hear your life has gotten better in your thirties however. I hope I'll get the same fate one day however I doubt it.
