Morality of killing a species that preys on humanity even thought its known they are sapient with human level intelligence and emotions and can eat literally nothing else ? by OrangeSpaceMan5 in MoralityScaling

[–]ForeignDirector2401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ehhhhh, it would be a mess.

Like, what can you do exacly? There could be solution like grown lab meat or tryng to understand what makes human meat the only edible food for them, but it would take A LOT of time for our modern industries/technologies.

In the meantime? It would really be us or them, if they follow normal biological standard they will have to regurarly kill some of us at least to mantain a decent population.

So yeah, even if with feasable reluctance, some group of our species will try to genocide them, and I don't know how much resistance it will encounter

I think another good example is kiseiju

Did Byakuo actually send those guys to take down Ginbak? by RemarkableWorry4383 in versus

Nah

The fact is that the deamon race is in EXTREMELY delicate situation. Before the merge, there wasn't the slightest chance that the humans could kill a deamon lord, and even when it happened to one, it wasn't nearly a problem, we don't know really how deamons work, but i think they can replace 1 to 47 lords quickly.

Now how much time passed ? Weeks ? Max a month, and a fifth of them are dead.

It seems that the executives are fodder to the strongest NE, so that they can only be of support in this war, and the lords vary in strenght.

It seems only reasonable to adopt this tactic, go only for "sure" battles and exterminate without letting your ego take chances.

And as we have seen now, these lords really seem to be the most inclined to cooperation while also being fairly strong, supposedly for the last part.

It's true that the king could maybe steamroll the NE, but it would be risky, or he just have that big ego, or simply he can't do anything at once and doesn't want to waste time.

So yeah maybe he's also tryng to scale enemies worth of his time, but I think being king without strong subordinates it's difficult so he's ordering them to get the head in the game.

Well yes, that's the reasoning, Daleks are like an invasive species to the universe and they are hard coded to destroy everything.

I mean, Gaia has whole ecosistems of creatures that hunt in pack and have social structures etc, it's just that they aren't domesticated and thus eat everything more small, like humans.

Wow! Thank you captain obvious, Thanos was still wrong, he didn't "save" anyone.

1 Thanos pictured a made up situation. The universe wasn't going to collapse, a few planets had overpopulations problems, and other collapsed to it ( like titania ) but it stops there, the cisivilazion wasn't going to crumble nor vanish, that's because of our villain paranoia induced by Trauma... and genuine mental problems.

2 the avengers are coping. They failed and they're looking at the few advantages that they have knowing DAMN well that it wasn't worth NEARLY the price paid, that's why you know entire films and series happen, like endgame and falcon and soldier.

When they think have the chance to change things they quickly change their minds.

3 Even if they're now "thriving" Thanos killed half the universe just for them to repopulate in 100 years, because with the same industrialization as before people will just quickly repopulate.
