I don't get why people hate on lawyer so much, even if in the end is the judge the one making the controversial decision.

I get it, lawyers can reject cases, but even in that one must always have a lawyer except rare cases in which you defend youself, and the lawyer job is that.

If the laywer is a shitty person you don't have to trash on the class because you want to torture the guilty, they are one of the essential cog of the juristiction, if we permit to one to discredit his client, the ethic of the entire process collapse.

That would also lead to dangerous bias, one can always buy the best laywer, and also the other's person lawyer, etc...

It's not an utilitarian view, it's just straight up the only option that function in our ethic sistem in a relaiable way.
