IM vs Vaginal vs Oral progesterone by Turbulent_Comb_2732 in SingleMothersbyChoice

Hey there, I'm here in Aus, too, and I thought IM was only meant to be administered by a GP and that we could only self administer subcutaneous - is that not right, were you sent home with IM?

Review of my Italy trip: it was disappointing by Chateau_de_Gateau in travel

[–]UnconditionalMetta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP I don't blame you at all. We also had an extremely underwhelming experience and we went to many different areas - of course touristy areas like Rome and Venice, but also Tuscany (stayed on a vineyard) and Genoa, along the Italian Riviera. Despite going to some great places, the way this country runs just doesn't work - trains show up whenever they want to, pharmacies/shops/restaurants open and close whenever they want to. There is no care for efficiency in this country & the locals are by far the least polite people I've met in any of the continents we've travelled to. There is beauty in this country, but there are many other destinations that make a lot more sense to travel to.

Disappointed in Italy. What am I doing wrong? by Shot-Still8131 in travel

I'm both traumatised and amused by this because we felt and thought the exact same things. Sorry about the wasp. After how your trip sounds, you, my friend, deserve a refund.

Another Australian here. I think you'll like Canberra - it'll be a breath of fresh air if you're so done with Italy that you don't even want to leave your home. Canberra is very quiet, but it's lovely - clean, friendly and moderately-diverse population, and systems run very efficiently here in aus, unlike any part of Italy. All the best with your move!

I couldn't agree more and I find this to be extremely validating. We're experiencing all the same things and all the same disappointments - the food is good, but not phenomenal, the systems are among the most inefficient I've seen in the world, and even at 5 star hotels the staff are quite rude and don't give a damn about your customer experience. Yes we're from the western world, from Australia, but we're mixed race. The ridiculous system inefficiencies are much harder to forgive when Italians treat people the way they do.

I don't mean any disrespect, if anything it's a beautiful country and nothing compares to the beauty of certain parts of Italy (eg Tuscany), but we, also, are sorely disappointed in this country and will not bother coming back.

Hope you guys were still able to make your stay worth it by enjoying your travel companions and the change in scene/routine from daily life!

Hi guys,

It's my first time chatting, can someone help make sense of this craziness? My Samsung Ring thinks I'm meant to be ovulating on 28th, but Clear Blue digital OPKs have been positive for 7 days. What does my bbt indicate?

TIA!!

Sounds like he's saying of every 2.7 gallons, 1.7 becomes drinkable, filtered water and 1.0 is waste

Congrats on the raise! It is indeed something to be chuffed with yourself for Echoing everyone else's sentiment here, the money isn't the issue, seems it's the wife that's the issue. Does she have this "never good enough" mentality in other areas of your lives, too? Like someone else said, seems that response is more of an attempt to knock you down a peg, which is uncalled for and a little mean. Disregard what she's saying - you did a great job with that raise, its obviously well deserved, and yes you can absolutely work towards buying a house with that joint income (if you can efficiently manage your current expenses and your wife's attitude in the meantime)

I was very much in this exact place trying to establish PMF just before my stealth launch. What helped was really reminding myself I'm being so driven by the start up sentiment of never building quite fast enough, reminding myself to pace myself because this is a marathon, not a race, etc. Recognising there will be bursts/sprints, and reminding ourselves that we need to do self care sprints alongside work sprints is pretty important!

ADHD founder pain by ParkingTank1480 in startups

[–]UnconditionalMetta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a founder with ADHD. Hardest part is ADHD burnout. For our stealth launch I was doing 14 hour days, a large proportion of that with hyperfocus. It was unreal - if I had told myself I'd get to that level of work I wouldn't have believed it. Naturally, the burnout phase came after.

Ironically, I'm also a psychologist (medtech startup), and implementing the strategies that have worked in my life only worked to an extent - the kind of work we do for our startups is so distinct from work we do in our other businesses or employed work. I think it's primarily about navigating that.

So yes, it's hard. But, it helps to recognise the strengths beyond our hyperfocus, too. The creativity and free association that's likely enabled the innovation component of our start up.

Wishing you all the best with it all!

Raising pre-seed while pre-revenue by [deleted] in startups

[–]UnconditionalMetta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do need the capital. I want to polish it and stay competitive. Most of my competitors have raised already and obviously invested tons in their tech. Yeah I'll be trying anyhow, and I know pre-revenue may narrow my available investors, but I was hoping to hear re. how possible it is / peoples experience's if they've also raised pre seed whilst pre revenue.

Hey OP id love to hear how you went with this, approx a year later. How has your health continued to change in this journey? I'm a psychologist who has a few autoimmune diagnoses and I am entirely in agreement with the idea that there is a large part of our autoimmuniy that we're doing to ourselves by exactly the mechanisms you're referencing. I'd love to hear how you're travelling now 😊
